Yep it seems our way of judging exterior talent as well as interior talent has changed our junior system. We're also not focused on winning junior premierships, although they are nice to win. Our focus has changed from dominating juniors with size and power to picking kids who have the skill set for first grade.

Yeah apparently there's some unrest between the clubs, some are abiding by the system that is meant to be coming in and other teams still using the older system and offering kids exorbitant amounts of money.

This re focus on what type of juniors we should target is exactly what I first posted about when I joined. Was howled down by the usual nay sayers of course. Glad to see once again I'm proven right.

Congratulations. You said what many people have said before you. Maybe you should take the position of Anthony Field? Next time I see Ant I'll ask him how many copies of RLW and BL he has.

As soon as he came on here, can't you read, merkin? It also only changed when I made that comment. Previous to that the club was only buying 7ft 120kg kids to play halfback.

I said it in early 2015. At the time a number of people on here ha d a huge hissy fit about the discussion topic which I created under a new thread. One poster who is a regular even said it was the worst thread topic he had ever read. Well guess what champ. I was right. Again.
As for your continued childish carry on about me reading RLW and BL, if you educated yourself and read why I mentioned that, it was because one goose on here came out and said I knew nothing about Rugby League simply because I said Hayne is better suited to fullback than five eight. He had a massive winge because I did not agree with his point of view and made the comment about me knowing nothing about RL.
I pointed out that I actually know a little bit about this great game, that I played for many years as a halfback, have been watching the game for 30 years, (watch most games), have been involved in coaching and training my local team for the past few years and read RLW and BL regularly where you get the player stats etc. Of course you only mention that I read RLW and BL like it is some kind of joke to read those publications and you ignore the rest of my involvement with the game. But people like you do things like that, ignore what does not suit your argument and hammer down on something you think wins you brownie points.
This forum would be so much better if not for people who only seem to want to put others down and hide behind their keyboard to do it. I'll now add you to the other three other posters I have on my ignore list. Cheers.

You live in Bleak City, and a lot of us are involved in junior footy here and have more than a passing interest, I just put up a few info pieces for people like Forty, Obscene and RLFan

Just confine yourself to LBAs and other such niceties and leave the junior stuff alone, it's irritating

I appreciate your first hand info, and I'm interested in junior development too. I just think it should be done centrally via a dedicated body, rather than by NRL clubs whose first motivation is to poach talent and win footy games. I don't think it's helpful to think of children as being the property of one or another professional sporting organisation. The junior clubs should be directly funded and overseen by a branch of the NRL. And the clubs should f**k off and leave the kids alone until they're 18.

nrl are going to pay for this are they? u no have much business acumen do u pau.....
