Anyhow I will be out at Kenthurst this weekend for the girls games. Even though there is time I am not going to attempt to get to Mascot Oval by 2:30, parking anywhere close to the venue if you haven't arrived with the first batch of players turning up is a nightmare. So BarTV Sports for me.

The problem for the Bulldogs is they only have one female junior club as far as I’m aware and that’s Yagoona.

We know that they sniff around the edges of our elite pathways talent before they turn 14

Sounds like they have sacked as many NRLW coaches as they have junior clubs.

No you didn't merkin, you said it when he was picked in Origin at the age of 20. Of course a player that young getting picked in Origin (in a position other than wing or the bench), has massive potential.

I also picked JFH at age 20 as becoming one of the best props in game.

And he isn't. He is overrated, which is why Penrith let him go early. He's a great defender but in attack he is just a stats accumulator. The Clinton Gutherson of forwards.

Well he was. A top 30 spot doesn't mean you're a star. I've already told you there's more top 30 spots than players good enough to play NRL. But in Loizou's defence, he hit his milestones early, and has been very good in reserve grade. That's enough for a top 30 spot at any club.

I called JA rubbish after 3 games while you picked him as a future star.

I never pick anyone as a future star. Most promising youngsters turn out to be disappointing. Examples are Moretti and Latu.

I can spot talent. I have the gift. You don't. That's fine. Your good at stats. Much better then I am with that stuff.

You spotted that he was garbage before he played a game and were called a moron for calling it so early.

I guess you have got so many right you forget those nuggets that turned out correct.

I was the first one to rubbish the Momoisea signing. I always tell merkins not to get excited. That doesn't mean we shouldn't sign these nuffies, just that we have a squad to fill and cheap nuffies are part of the strategy.

The next nuffy I'm warning merkins about is Samrani. I've seen some excitement around him and I don't want you merkins to get your hopes up. Maybe he'll become a first grader and that would be awesome, but if he doesn't, there's no need for merkins to lash out at the club and its staff. Finding diamonds in the rough is a numbers game. There will always be more 'failures' than successes.
