Eels
i cant see the cowboys going with us
they really are the odd one out of the 4 teams there and we are in red hot form
however who knows, if cowboys come out firing it can be anyones game but i still think parra will do the job

That's all they have to do? Slow down the play-the-ball? Well that sounds easy then! Seriously though, that's tough to do against Parra. They play fast, have big outside backs and skilful link men with power. Even if Nth Qld play well with the ball they'll struggle to contain the Eels.

Personally I think it's much easier to find a way of containing Nth Qld than Parra - don't give Bowen room to move or a staggered defensive line, limit errors that create broken play, don't fall for Bowen's show and go. Melbourne were guilty of all of these last week.

It's ridiculous to suggest it's a one-horse race but all things being equal the Eels should be far too strong

I didn't say it was that simple just something they have to do to avoid Parramatta getting a roll on like in most games.

If you wanted me to do a entire list of what to do against Parramatta we'd be here all day and people would be getting sick of hearing from me.

I don't think Parramatta will be easy opposition if they were they wouldn't of been the minor premiers.

Must still have some hope Fui will

A) Get his appeal heard in time
B) Get off the charge or at least get it reduced to 1 week which he has already served.

Eels to get off to a flyer leading by 16 at half time and the cowboys to come back at them in the second half. Full time Eels by 7.

Its near impossible. I've said it before in other threads, but a great proportion of Parra's play-the-balls are like touch footy, straight through the legs without touching the ball - Moimoi was the worst. If the ref's were serious they'd clamp down on it but I cant remember the last time I saw a ref blow a penalty for it.

By no means are they on their own though. There were plenty again last saturday night & one I saw Rauhihi do reminded me of a dog taking a leak on a gumtree. Good luck to them for getting away with it though.

In any case, Parra are far too good for the Cowboys currently. If Parra lose, it will be because they played poorly rather than Cowboys playing well. Parra by 18.

He's doing the same thing with the Tigers. He's just out for a laugh, and I've got to admit every time i read one of his posts I do get a smile.

i ma an eels fan
i like there style of play and there fans are very nice to hang out with
i think they can win this one if they shut down bowen. most of the other team is overated IMO williams (plenty of better wingers , not origin standard), sing (safe player - thats it) , thurston (not the best player in 05) , rauhihi (cat)

bring it on i say, big test for young tim smith, but im sure he can cope with it, i sure hope so i love the bloke
