66% votes yes to The Factions. Got close but then again Max almost got his over the line last time. Double or nuffin?
Glad it didn't get up. I even got up and spoke about how important it was for the new constitution to allow for ALL members to be able to vote (via postal or online voting). I was surprised when Denis and John Fenwick advised members to vote against the proposal.
Thanks to those who made an effort to attend and vote against the petition. I go to all these things and the amount of attendees who I have never seen before at these things was staggering. Good effort people
What pissed me off was the first speaker for the special resolution arguing that there had to be a board with a "mandate". He said that only members who turn up to vote deserved to have a say. Yeah, like a 0.1% total member turn out is a mandate.
Max needs reforms to be cleared tomorrow night. They need 75% and that will allow (amongst other things) electronic voting in the future. 7pm Cumberland Lounge - Bankwest Stadium.
Max said there are 25,000 eligible voters. FFS if you are local, get down and vote. Centre of Excellence to be announced today at Kellyville.
