Bazal,

We haven't met in cyber world yet. My name is Col Green a.k.a "Parra Future". I think Terry (Sangreal86) had us confused.
Hi Col, where have you been? I thought you must have been marooned on an island because I don't hear from you. I'm still waiting for the bank to come through

you'll find a lot of member based organisations have a waiting period to vote and rightly so because otherwise it would be quite easy to stack elections any given year by just signing up a heap of members to vote.
mind you I remember 3P considering the waiting period thing another bad thing imposed by DF and they were all gung-ho about changing it around election time ..... funny how nothing transpired once they got in power tho :-k

So was anyone at the supreme court who can update us on anything? I can't wait until the end if October.

it doesnt matter because the moron told us it fitzy vs parra leagues club.

which tells me it had nothing to do with anderson vs leagues club. There all full of sh*t.

Terry say what you want. Ando was gonsky last year but they couldnt make up a excuse. This rubbish 3p are spinning is sickening. If ando was so terrible & out of line that would mean he is in breach of contract & he would not be owed 1 cents. All of you 3p go rot painfully somewhere

I cannot understand people who deathride their own club.

Because the board turned us into a laughing stock of the NRL.

They have given a player like Hindy 0% chance of going out a winner, over the next 2 seasons.

The board didnt allow Cayless to announce his retirement on his terms.

They back stabbed the coach, players and FANS, when they assured DA is coach next year.

They have misled the fans, since been appointed.

They have made a ridiculous decision, which is all agenda based.

And if that aint enough, they want to appoint stuart as head coach. FFS

My sons local club is run better.

Enough or you want more????????

Try Masters young one. I thought you given us the jack! Lock that one in

You're good. With all this time on your hands to come up with this stuff, you could have completed a Doctorate by now. Gotta go to bed. Getting operated on tomorrow.

I hope everyone is much calmer tomorrow. Today has been thrilling reading. To all the people talking about walking away from the Eels, I think that it is a little overkill. The Eels as a "brand" should not be walked away from due to one individual or many, or even choices that may be made. The true faithful will always stand up to be counted on and support the Eels juggernaut. This is just a bad patch in time just like a cycle that will no doubt reach great heights once again.

I'm confused.

Based on what Sangreal 86 is saying, is DA taking the club to court and once this happens the truth will come out as to why DA was sacked. I know there is a court matter on that moment between Parra Leagues and a sacked employee of the club but what does that have do to with DA getting the sack.

In the words of Vinnie Barbarino "i'm soooooooo confused" (Welcome back Kotter reference)

If Sangreal 86 is not on the board, how does he have so much info about the decisions being made at board level?

Considering Brian Smith was giving 10 years at the helm and didnt' get a premiership, while Daniel was only given 2 it just doesn't seem fair in my opinion.

It wasn't fair that Smith got 10 years to confirm he wasn't the richt coach for us.

And what of those of us that have similar contacts who have a differing view ?

Anderson was screwed, plain and simple. The board who promised so much and delivered so little needed a scapegoat, and they found one in DA. They're like first term politicians.... their main priority is a second term.
And what was Fitzy's priority? To weld himself to the CEO's job for life while the Eels underachieved more than a Swedish supermodel taking home Zappia for a root!

And however it came about, its a very convenient news cycle for them, isnt it........ all forgotten by about Thursday I reckon, given what else is going on this week.....
Yes, they really avoided the news didn't they!

Simple actually, teams have simply got the measure over us, they've realised that they shouldn't be deluded into thinking that Robson and Mortimer can actually play properly. I wouldn't be surprised if teams last year actually thought that Morts short ass kicking game was something of a tactic, or that Robson would throw a crazy dummy and set someone up for a linebreak, gone are those days when teams are that delusional over our halves.
2010, everyone knows it now and our halves have been even worse for wear, I really can't blame the coach for the halves overall lack of ability to improve in any facet of play.
I gedit. We made the 09gf because all the other clubs though Robson and Morts were actually Sterling and Kenny.

The halves were worse this year - and Ando didn't change that.

There's no doubt that DAs coaching has been somewhat sub-par, but you can't tell me after watching all 26 weeks of our footy this year that it was all the coach.[/QUOTE]
Not all the coach. A hell of a lot was though.
The board are absolutely kidding themselves if they think Kearney is going to step in and be our 2011 premiership winning saviour.
Lets stick with the underachiever - and each July we will have to win our remainining games to have a shot at scraping in, and the game plan is "Give it to Jarryd"

OK, well I haven't really weighed in yet apart from creating the totally kick arse poll in the other thread, so here goes...

What we seem to know at present regarding DA is that he had no plans for the future and a significant section of the player base did not have faith in him and did not believe that he was a workable coach for the future. This is what has come out through the media.

However, if I've read this thread correctly, Sanga is now saying that there will be more to come out regarding DA in late-October and this will explain much.

The problem here is that is the media stuff is correct then it justifies a payout of the contract. If there is more than what we have heard then surely there would be grounds for a flat out termination?

In my ridiculously handsome view this does not seem to stack up.

**********

Also, this has turned into somewhat of a 3P thread so I might as well be open and honest regarding my opinion on this subject.

It has been said in this thread that 3P = Labor. Well, to be honest, I have had this feeling at certain times myself and expressed it to my fellow fans and forumites over a few coldies at Parra Leagues.

The leaks to the media have been totally unprofessional. Views have been expressed that, to put it in a somewhat blunt fashion, the new regime whored itself out to The Daily Telegraph during the election in order to get the coverage it needed to win and now the two entities are intertwined to our detriment. I must say that my own experiences with people within the Club have given me this same impression. I'm gonna pull the old Julia Gillard line and say that I won't be discussing any private interactions on this forum but relaxed conversations I have had included casual and comfortable references to ringing up The Tele and providing them with information. This did not sit well with me.

Additionally, there is at least an impression that there is an anti-Fitzgerald movement that is still going on. Now, whilst some may think they have a valid point regarding clearing out old, dead wood I personally think it is not smart to be removing people who could possibly still offer us the best available services simply because they were part of Fitzy's old brigade.

Now, to once again be perfectly honest, a lot of the way I see things are based purely on my personal interpretation of events that I don't always have a first hand knowledge of. I could very well be interpreting them incorrectly. Whilst I personally believe that contracts should always be seen through and that therefore DA should have remained as our coach in 2011, I am nevertheless willing to generally withhold any concrete decision until the information is released in late-October.

As a parting comment, I would like to take the opportunity to seriously abuse those in 3P/the new regime, regarding recruitment. It's f**king obvious that we need a f**king halfback. We're chasing every Tom, Dick and Harry that's ever come anywhere near a 7 jersey. All except one - I haven't heard a damned f**king thing about enquiries made to lure Stu Galbraith out of retirement. You f**king useless cocksmokers - get your act together and fill that void with the man himself - Stu GODbraith!

mmmm ... that upsets me too .... I really don't think we are a shot at a title with a rookie coach .... altho who knows???

plus I think there will be some tension within our playing ranks over all this - especially Hindy - cos he pretty much said a few weeks ago that Ando better stay or he'll be pissed ...... not a good thing when your club legend leader might be out of sorts

Good luck with the operation. Not sure why you need an early night though. I am performing an operation tomorrow and I'll be on the piss most of the night.

You'd love them to decrease. Under FITZY THERE WAS NO MEMBERSHIP DRIVE. Ozzy put the fire in that campaign. And I'm certain the advertisement didn't include missing the finals and playing like sh*t.

no - the court case is DF v Parra Leagues .... I myself don't understand how it related to DA???

If Sangreal 86 is not on the board, how does he have so much info about the decisions being made at board level?

mmmmm - this is something that has been on my mind for some time .... I am not referring directly to Sangreal86 (Terry) cos I have met him once or twice and he's a great guy with his heart firmly in the right place ... but my concern is that it seems alot of ppl get information about the goings on .... some tell us to shut up and stop accusing the board of leaks, but if the info is going to terry then who says its not going to others also who maybe have loose lips - not intentional leaks, but word just gets around and somehow ends up at the Telegraph

Well I hope you're not an eye specialist at Castle Hill Day Surgery. If you are, I don't think I want to go through with it anymore and I might postpone if it is ok with you??
