Leagues club has a new carpark but not sure how many more cars it fits ... assume only for members but should take some cars off the streets

I’m not sure exactly, but I saw the Car Park sign out the front of the club the other day and there was over 700 empty spots available.

My brother did some work in the stadium, thought I'd share some pics he took for me.

I’d estimate between 3-5pm based on the sun position on the horizon in the west hitting those eastern seats

Phillip Cox is devo that his footy stadium is being demolished. IIRC all his buildings in Darling Harbour have already been minced. There is a common theme here Phil...

Dont give a sh*t. Much preferred The Sydney Sports Ground". I fondly recall hanging over the hill fence heckling Keith Barnes kicking for goal. That fuc*er didnt miss much.
Also the scene of The Mayors first retirement where he led The Mighty Eels to an 8 to nil win over St George. The Mayor had a try disallowed that day. Ref said he bounced it. If only they had a video review then. Can still see the great man being chaired off the ground by Changa and Raper.

I now live in the area, and yeah between 700 and 650 spaces most days are available. Yeah you have to be a member and I think spend $10 in the league club if you are there for more than 2 hours.

Details and video explaining it here.

ICYMI .....

Roosters will call the SCG home until the new SFS is ready.

https://www.roosters.com.au/news/2018/09/18/returning-home-in-2019/

Looks like the Waratahs will be playing their games at Brookvale, SCG and our new WSS.

http://www.greenandgoldrugby.com/community/threads/waratahs-2019.18301/page-8#post-1027716

SFC will spread their games over SCG, Jubilee and Leichhardt.

https://www.sydneyfc.com/fixtures#!/t1962

Wanderers will play at Mudgee, Spotless and ANZ.

https://www.wswanderersfc.com.au/fixtures#!/t7062

So WSS will be ready April 2019

The ANZ renovation is expected to begin in late 2019 and be completed by mid-2021, in time for the NRL grand final that year.

The Allianz Stadium rebuild will completed in March 2022. The crossover of the two upgrades means the 2020 NRL grand final will be held at the SCG.

As for Origin:

2017 Qld had G1 & 3 at Suncorp. G2 was at ANZ.

2018 G1 was at MCG, G2 ANZ G3 Suncorp.

2019 G1 is at Suncorp, G2 Perth G3 ANZ.

2020 G1 is at Adelaide, G2 and G3 are yet to be announced.

how stupid are we going to look if all these corporate boxes never get filled and we end up with a half empty stadium but all the fans are jammed in like sardines on one side?
