Why is anyone expecting good food at the stadium? It's being run by Venues NSW or whatever they're called, it'll be the same tripe they serve up at ANZ. Go a little bit earlier and go to the LC Church street or bring your own food in.

Last time I went I wasn't allowed to bring my own food in ( a burger). Next time though, I will eat in Church St before going to the game.

In the 18 years I've been going to games I've never had a problem with taking own food in at Parra or ANZ stadium. Was the burger homemade or was it wrapped in commercial wrapping i.e Maccas, KFC, Hungry Jacks etc?

Exactly. Its football food. Lets keep it simple. Church st has some great placees to eat. Id avoid paying $15+ for a pie chips and coke knowing I can get a feed for $20+ at an eatery on chruch.

Footy was great when theyd do a bbq and a steak sandwich.Couldn't go wrong really with that option.I wouldn't expect a good burger, chips or whatever at a game of footy. It would be average at best and I would only use if needed something to tie me over.

Well there's your problem.
I didn't think too much about it at the time, I just ate it and went in. I've rarely bought food at the games I've been to anyway. The food at Parra Stadium that I had was sub-standard and overpriced IMO. I assumed there was a strict limit on what I could take in, so I just ate well before going to the game for the most part.

I've only ever been to one stadium in Australia (and I've been to plenty) that does decent food for reasonable prices and that is Spotless Stadium at Homebush. Run by the RAS and set up primarily for the Easter Show.

It's been hell following the Wanderers there for the past 3 seasons at this shit hole and I can't wait to get back to Parra, but the food options are excellent.
There's a Subway, an Asian Noodle Bar that has a wide range of Asian stir fries, nibblies and noodle dishes, a Kebab outlet, a specialized Burger outlet, a seafood outlet and Pie Face. There's also a decent amount of designated coffee stands and temporarily set up BBQ's selling sausage and steak sandwiches.

If Spotless can do this, why can't other stadiums?

And, before anyone asks, no, they don't do fairy floss at football matches.

I have never eaten at games .... and only occaissionaly have a drink (cos I generally have to drive home after)

There was a point in time that they stopped allowing "commercial" food that conflicts with the goop they sell inside .... I remember seeing people turn up and whip out a tupperware container full of unwrapped big macs and cheeseburgers - lol - take that merkins

Spotless have the advantage IIRC that food trucks can drive up to into the showground ? Is that right ? I have not been to the showground for donkeys.

I was chatting to my neighbour this morning who is quite high up at Stowe and he said that they’re on schedule for a March handover and they have actually reduced staff onsite.
Yes but can he be believed after all he was quite high

Heavy flooding at ground from Friday’s storms, couple of ceilings collapsed due to water saturation from unfinished roofs on some catering, toilet blocks around concourse.
