I heard they started digging up the turf on Monday.

Don't have a source (if needed) - just what I heard.

Infrastructure NSW provided this timeline 4 months ago.

EIS Determination - Late 2016
Commence demolition - Early 2017
Demolition complete - Mid 2017

There does not seem to be any plans available. They have been moving forward based on the building envelope only.

The EIS will probably get held up because they didn't do enough surveys of the left handed butterfly and have to wait for the next season.

Then finally after it gets submitted 12 months late and an approval is granted, the 'Save our Pool' group will have partnered with the Environmental Defender's Office to legally challenge the approval on the grounds that Scope 3 Greenhouse Gas Emissions weren't properly considered.

So in short, Gronk's timeframes will probably blow out by about 3 years by which time there will be a new government in that decides to turn it into a hospital or whatever it is that people will be whinging about in 2020.

There are no plans because it is still in the tendering stage.
The 3 shortlisted tenderers will come up with their own designs.

True that. IIRC there was a golden something frog that single handedly delayed the olympics build at homebush.
