Don't you blokes both wear your Parra gear when heading out to the local pub or clubs (or bread shop)?
Haha not really.

I wear the jersey to the games and that's about it.

I did take one jersey to Europe & Canada last year and wore it the Ashes at Manchester as it generates conversation with the punters when lining up for drinks/food and around you seats.

There was actually 3 other Parra fans with jerseys on those couple of days at the ground that i walked past along with the usual souths shit you see at every sporting event.

I really hope all the Winston Hills locals boycott the new Bakers Delight.
That is a prick of a decision from Centre Management. Sad thing is that it will possibly be franchised, meaning the franchisees will take the hit if it fails, not Bakers Delight.
My little local shopping village at Knightsbridge has a similar Asian run bakery to the one being kicked out of Winston Hills. Fantastic pies, pasties and sausage rolls, and bread and bread rolls of all persuasions that stay fresh for more than a few days. I would hate to see it replaced with a Bakers Delight. The fresh bread and rolls are cheap and almost always available. There is almost always a queue at all times of day. The owners work hard and are extremely friendly. Dad and mum work out the back and the son and daughter are on the counter. It is truly a fantastic little local bakery.

In the meantime.....

There used to be a little Vietnamese bakery on Johnston St in Annandale which I used to frequent quite often as I worked right near there. Had awesome pies and sausage rolls. The owner was a really nice guy and loved a chat, especially about the footy.

One day he told me that he was having to shut up shop. The rent had gone up and the owners of the building were handing the space over to a Chargrill Charlie’s chicken shop. Thing is, I know the owner of the building. She said that Chargrill Charlie’s offered her three times the rent that the bakery was paying. No one is going to say no to that.

It’s unfortunate for these small businesses, but there’s not much you can do when the big chains throw their money around.

Haha probably who would know.

Well I won't be there at the winsto tonight that's for sure.

With the shit new renovations, price of beer and just the way they have treated a lot of locals for the past 10 years I rarely bother much with the joint anymore. The bowling clubs around the area offer better atmosphere & happy hours to take advantage of.
Yeah, i’m not up there much anymore.

Sydney’s Allianz Stadium will be allowed to host 20 concerts a year after the government lifted a controversial cap that had limited the number to four in a decision it says will add $120m to the New South Wales economy annually.

The restrictions were introduced for the stadiums in the Moore Park precinct – which includes the Sydney Cricket Ground – more than 20 years ago after locals complained about noise following a Rolling Stones concert.

The New South Wales premier, Chris Minns, said the change was a huge win for the state’s economy and great for live music. The decision has been welcomed by the Australian Recording Industry Association and festival organiser Secret Sounds.

The sport minister, Steve Kamper, said the previous “red tape” had cost NSW hundreds of millions of dollars.

“We can’t have a facility like this and only have four concerts a year,” he said.

“By unlocking the stadium, we are also unlocking millions of dollars of economic activity for our local visitor economy and surrounding businesses,” he said.

Of the 20 major events each year, two will be permitted to operate as 10-hour festivals, such as Wave Aid, between the hours of 10am and 11pm.

Whilst I think it is a shit decision, playing devils advocate and presuming maybe naively there’s no corruption here, centre management wouldn’t have kicked them out if they were making bank. I’ve been there, it’s a good bakery, it’s cheap but it’s not anything crazy special and I’ve never seen it super busy.
That said the shitness of the decision will likely be highlighted when Bakers Delight basically return same results even without people boycotting

I can't wait for this to open within 6 months.
Direct services into the city at 100 km/h for all us Hills residents. 35 minutes to Martin Place from Castle Hill.
And immune from union strike action.
Finally, Sydney is slowly but surely moving into the 21st century.

It’s minor, not really the metro’s fault, would be difficult to correct with current infrastructure and likely housing in the future will negate it (already is at Towers, etc), but the only real problem I have with it is getting from home to station is cumbersome compared to time savings sometimes. I use the Bella Vista station and I just wish Seven Hills Rd/Old Windsor/Sunnyholt were a bit more focused on filtering to the station.
That’s probably more a gripe about how outdated that section of Old Windsor is but.

That's where local bus services should be improved. I actually thought they were already excellent around the Hills District but I don't know your circumstances.
I must be lucky because I have a bus stop just 2 minutes walk away, which gets me to the Towers in 10 minutes.
To walk out of my front door and be at Martin Place Metro station within an hour via public transport for me is amazing and a game changer.
The Chatswood to Sydenham extension of this line (through the City) is going to be incredible and just an insight as to what the archaic Sydney Trains system is that we have put up with for so long.
Hunter St (city) to Westmead via Parra will be even better and faster.
