In demolition, as much as can be recycled as possible is.
The seats are just one item that can be reused.
You'll also find that all of the concrete (massive amount) and metal roofing and fencing will also be recycled, as well as all electrical cables (copper).
They should just leave it on the footpath out the front, like council pickup ... some merkins will drive past and pilfer the steel and electrical cables ...lol

What about the stench of disappointment? Hopefully that gets taken to landfill.

Yep. They will chop the concrete up into gravel to be re-used. Don't want pieces of plastic and metal in there.

I had a client who bought an old fibro house from Dept of Housing. They were breaking up traditional housing commission suburbs and selling most of the houses off to the public. Before the sale, they re-wired the house and renewed the plumbing. Inside they updated the kitchens and bathrooms. Following settlement she could not work out why the water / power was not on. Her Dad soon found out that thieves had stolen all the copper from underneath the house. Merkins !

I didn't realize it was a thing, but clearly copper must be worth a shit load on the black market.
