I just think if you are going to do something, do it properly. The new stadium should have been at least 40 000 capacity, it could have even gone higher. I think Parra have one of the biggest and best supporter bases in the games. When they are winning their fans come out of the woodwork and they draw good crowds consistently. I really believe if Saints and Parra were both going well for a period of time that they could have drawn close to 50 000 for a game if the stadium could house that many.

I really believe that ever team in the comp should have a stadium that holds no less than 40 000.

Parra will still have the second best ground of all the clubs in Sydney. With a capacity of 30 000 you will still get a good atmosphere with 18000 or more.

My dream is for Saints to one day have a great stadium that holds 53 000 fans and is designed with good acoustics.

53,000 - that is an odd number to come up with - not 50 or 60 but 53.

Anyway, send your concerns to the NSW Govt as this was their decision. I get the feeling it may be too late to change but the cranes are still onsite so who knows.

Bottom line, if we kept pressing for a 40k stadium it would never have been built in the first place. I am more than happy with what we are getting.

Stop complaining ffs. Go and watch a few games sitting on the wet grass at brooky or kogarah oval.
We'll have the best all undercover stadium in nsw, super close to the action where every seat is worth the price of admission, there'll be great facilities for the players as well as the fans, and the playing surface will be top notch.

30k is fine. There was a time where the club was looking at a minor refurbishment of the old stadium with a couple of sub standard stands at both ends.

We should all be counting our lucky stars. And as I've said - i was inside the stadium a few weeks back and all of you guys are in for a massive shock - it has that super close colosseum feel. It absolutely craps on anz

50k inside the ground and another 50k outside the ground ? Extraordinary.

I believe those "50000" you say are outside the ground are actually inside it. Odsal stadium was an absolutely huge bowl. That was a rugby league world record crowd and stood until the opening of the Sydney Olympic Stadium for the double header in 1999.

Odsal was a poor mans version of Hampden Park in Glasgow, which once had a crowd of 160000 and was the world's largest stadium until the Maracanã was built..

Any reason why your dream has such a specific number as 53,000 and not say, 50,000 or 55,000?
Yeah, the reason I said 53 000, is so that one could get a crowd of 50 000 or just over and still have a few seats left. If capacity if 50 000 on the dot. It would be quite unusual to have every single seat occupied to get the 50 000 crowd figure.

I know it appears an odd number.

I expect it to be a great stadium and 30 000 capacity means a good atmosphere with less crowd. I just thought you could have done with a bigger stadium. As I said, if you are going to do something, do it properly or do it right.
