In normal circumstances it's proably not necessary, but considering the trains aren't going to be running you'd think they'd want to reduce the amount of cars on the road as much as possible.

I was of the understanding that the event buses run if there are 30,000 tix sold for any event in the Olympic Park precinct.

I'm not sure how many tickets have been sold for Saturday. As I said before, I think in this case some special event buses would be a good idea for the government to provide considering there are no trains. They should be trying to keep as many cars off the road and ease congestion as much as possible.

They haven't given in on all the supposed 263 demands... Read the article, two weeks of intense negotiating lie ahead, and having the 24hr trains running this weekend means people can choose public transport for getting home from the Pearl Jam concert.

Win-win all round... except I guess for people whose mind set is always looking for some loss to whinge about.
