The question remains, what has this govt actually done , opened infrastructure they opposed in opposition with a fanfare and media spin. Dumped the public service cap, gave teachers etc a massive pay rise almost within first month and seem to wonder why the unions who fund their elections all want similar. As for Jo Haylen, terrible.

Minns used his best used car salesman pitch re development approvals and entertainment increases , and does nothing at the first sign of opposition, Really tough to make a positive comment when they do absolutely nothing after spinning announcements ,unfortunately the opposition under Speakman are also hopeless and don’t seem to be able hold them to account.

Tend to agree with most of this.
However, Minns needs to be given credit for standing up to the bullies of the Rail Unions.
Some of his language against them has been outstanding.

This train strike thing is bullshit. It is making it difficult for 10,000s of people trying to get to work. Screwed me up today and so I lost an hours pay for being late.
Problem is 13% over 4yrs after inflation spike does seem low. 3.2% a year. I feel personally that 16-17% % is fair and not greedy. I'm unsure what they want.

Most big electrical companies are giving 5% per year for 3yrs (15%)

13% I think. It should be closer to 16-17%

Why?
That's a large pay rise over 4 years that needs to be funded by you and I and our taxes.
The RTBU are just being greedy.
They still haven't agreed to it either. They still want a compounded 32%.
Of Course, they will give in and accept less. They are currently on a hiding to nothing.

How much are they asking for? I have no idea

13% is below inflation. 3.5% always seemed standard. 5% currently due to cost of living and recent inflation seems fair to me so 20%.
32% compounded is taking the piss I agree.

Look I think that people are posting with considerable emotion here, however some facts need to be pinned to the wall.

Fatty O’Barrell swooped in circa 2010 and passed the Industrial Relations (Public Sector Conditions of Employment) Act 2011.

Consequently the Government gave itself complete power to determine wage increases and conditions for public sector staff through Regulations which did not have to pass any votes in the Parliament. The Industrial Relations Commission has had its power to arbitrate wage disputes removed. During that period the Government froze wage increases for public sector workers at 2.5%.

Minns was elected partly on a campaign of “Cut the Cap”. He did this and recent recipients were the nurses and the NSW Police.

This is not surprising really, one party like small government and low wages, the other party operates on a worker first platform.

You can call people greedy, but no real wage increases for a decade is pretty crazy when the cost of living is skyrocketing. IMHO this situation has come to an unavoidable head because the ^^^ legislation that was specifically designed to stagnate wages was literally a political and industrial relations time bomb.

Agree with the above.

32% is taking the piss, but 14% over four years is just keeping up with general inflation - not even the cost of living "crisis". It seems 16% might end up being a fair outcome/agreement.

Businesses raise their costs (with good reason for small businesses), and wages simply have to keep up to be fair. If governments and ultimately the laws get stuck into the multinationals and make them pay their share in taxes on our shores for what they take away from, then there'd be less issues.
