we played crap on friday night. saints turned up, we didnt, they deserved to go through and we didnt, simple as that really.

have to say it was pretty painful being at the stadium. i got a ticket from a mate who is a saints member and i was one of the only manly fans in my bay.

I can't understand the logic of many on this board. Jamie is imo the best centre in the world, he made a mistake a couple of years back which to this day i have the sh*ts about, but fair dinkum who here hasn't made a mistake in their lives? who here hasn't had a bad day and just walked out of work and never returned, i've done. He was only young at the time and if it was the coaches fault i couldn't balme him as their seem to be a few ex eels out there who felt the same as Jamie.

Delaney & Smith are very good players, but will never ever have the talent of Lyon, You can quote that, take a photo don't give a sh*t it's the truth.

(1) Gasnier hasn't won squat either. Therefore, Lyon and he are par for the 'best centre in the world' tag, if anything.

(2) Jamie may have playe dus for fools, but he didn't commit a serious criminal offence. walking out on your contract, while an offence punishable by law, is hardly the same as someone who robbed a bank. lol



I always consider the following:

We choked in 2001, but a very young Jamie Lyon had an outstanding game in my view. As he matured, he seemed to get better and better.

I seem to recall a certan Jamie Lyon was rumoured to be coming back to Parra at the time this poll was being carried out, he then turned his back on the Eels once again

check the date of my post an you'll see it was also well after he had turned his back on us again

which in effect means that poll is useless and if you cared to check your facts, you may even have worked that out, then again, that may require grey matter

To an extent you are right but the forum was VERY divided in regard to Jamie Cleal returning. From day dot there were quite a few against his return altogether and many wanted to give him another chance. I'd just be very worried if anyone ever upset Noel......
