Let's put it in perspective...

Around 83% capacity. That's OK for a Friday night game where the other team's supporters didn't show up. 15,000+ is a good crowd and above average for this time of year.

And so far, Kogarah Jubilee is the top crowd-puller this round:

1. Dragons v Eels at Kogarah Jubilee: 15,068
2. Cowboys v Sea Eagles at Dairy Farmers: 13,538
3. Wests Tigers v Warriors in Campbelltown: 10,061
4. Sharks v Broncos at Toyota Park: 7,826

7,000...!! Now that's something to worry about.

So far, the Saints supporters at Kogarah are holding up the round. Looking at the rest of the round, it could end up being the largest attendance, or close to.

The atmosphere was great. The Dragon Army was in fine voice, looked great and the hill was full from my view, my possie being in the NW Stand.
Still keeping it in perspective...

Update:

1. Dragons v Eels at Kogarah Jubilee: 15,068
2. Cowboys v Sea Eagles at Dairy Farmers: 13,538
3. Storm v Bulldogs at AAMI Park, Melbourne: 12,420
4. Souths v Panthers at ANZ Stadium, Homebush: 11,108
5. Wests Tigers v Warriors at Campbelltown: 10,061
6. Sharks v Broncos at Toyota Park: 7,826

Proof that you'd even argue with yourself.

Like your creative quoting...

I told others they should have gone?

Only time i did that was when i said it should have been a sell out...Especially for a team running first...(it was a dig just to see the response i also said earlier that it was an impressive crowd )

No i didn't go in think i made that clear to you... Want me to make another post about it?

Do I recall correctly that one was actually a Saints, one an Eels, one a Warriors and one a Bulldogs fan, and the Tele had dressed them up in Dragons jerseys?

Yeah - the Masons. Lined up outside the ground looking forlorn.

And Poupou - as an ex serving member of the forces (probably before you were born) and from a very proud family with a history of service stretching back to Gallipoli I find your assertion that "civies are merkins" to be both pathetic and offensive. Perhaps typical of the current generation that could learn so much from heroes that served in previous conflicts.

Sorry i know im in the wrong forum but i just had to comment.

I was one fan that came to the Dragons vs Eels game last year in the finals but didn't attend on Friday. This is only because all my friends that support dragons 'weren't bothered' to go because according to them, it would rain. I can't go on my own so obviously i had no choice but to watch it at a bar instead. I do regret not going because i think its really important to be there for your team regardless of whether they're winning or losing.

Anyway just to add, you call us bandwagon supporters? What you dont realise, is that every team has bandwagon supporters. You guys are just lucky that your team is so consistent ( minus finals time) and so your supporters do make the trek to see them every week because they are always winning. So rather than gloating about something that is pretty much guaranteed, how about you spend more time discussing your own team. There are many parra fans that are not bandwagon supporters.

In 2004 EVERYONE was suddenly supporting the bulldogs, and in 2005 everyone was suddenly supporting the Tigers. At a bulldogs vs eels game THIS YEAR i heard a girl shout WHY ISNT HAZEM KICKING, and last year another girl shouts WHERE IS MASON?. You spend all this time labelling us as bandwagon supporters, but its prominent in every team so stop overusing the word because as someone above me said, WE DONT CARE. I am a true fan. I go to most games that i can and if i have someone to go with me ( as a female it does get a bit dangerous to attend on your own).

Anyway i know this has turned into a rant but congrats on Friday, and talk about the win and not the opposition fans.

15,000 is on the low side, regardless of how many Egg fans turned up. I don't think we should be blaming them for an average crowd figure.
No, not Parra's fault that they want games moved to accomodate them, but then don't show up.

Norm, I was told by someone that it took them an hour and a half to get from the Sutherland area to Kogarah due to an accident on the highway. Apparently the highway was closed for a while. Impossible to know how many people gave up or just didn't make it. Traffic in Sydney is a mess at the best of times.

I got in early to the club at around 5pm and saw queues at the main GA gates. All things being equal, it looked like we'd have a big crowd.

Plus at this time of year, crowds are dipping slightly. The point is, Kogarah on Friday was an above average NRL crowd figure, and Saints fans are leading the round in this regard. The facts back this up.

Last I checked, this was a dragons forum. If Dragons fans wish to discuss fairweather Parra fans and the inconsistancy they display, no Eels fan should care. We all enjoyed the result (always nice to flog the Eels) but there are other threads for that discussion already.

Sounds pretty soft to me.

There was no rain. And even if there was, so what? The clouds were high and the forecast was good. Did you look out the window?

You're in the Dragons forum. If you don't like it, how about you avert your eyes or find the nearest exit shute.

WTF has this got to do with us?

lol. Yeah sure, you don't care.

What is that supposed to mean? Dangerous, how?

I don't know how you leave the house if that's your attitude. But you felt safer in a bar?

You would have been as safe at Kogarah Jubilee as anywhere else where people are decent to each other.

First it was your friends weren't going...
then you thought it might rain...
then you thought it was dangerous.

Sounds like you just didn't want to go. That's fair enough, but be honest.

Thanks for the rant.

To summarise:
1. People are entitled to their view.
2. You're in the Dragons forum.
3. You prefer bars over football grounds.
4. 30-0.

Kiki, maybe you guys should spend more time discussing how you're going to perform the heinrich maneuver come finals time rather than how many parra fans rocked up on Friday night.

We can discuss anything we like in a DRAGONS forum. eels forum ----> Begone! Go discuss how wet it was on Friday night and how unsafe it might be outside the bubble.

I have to say i was wrong about you.

I truly have respect for you now. I am yet to come across a moderator that spent sooooooo much time in responding to my post.

Thanks a bunch.

Keep up the good work!
