Actually Simon the only person we have said "told you so" is you. Most of us aren't that heartless that we would wish severe injury on anyone. Have a look at some of the threads that many have posted in wishing Pat all the best.

Simon - I actually thought that you had something to offer as far as conversation goes and apologised initially for accusing you of trolling. At that stage you weren't - however now you are on the way to becoming another Rooster Cogburn. If you've got something you would like to discuss we'll discuss it with you. If you want to continue like the prat you are at the moment do it elsewhere.

As I stated above. If you read things a little closer instead of what you want to see then it all makes sense.

And while Im at it,this whole thread got dragged up from ages ago as a big "I told you so" and I found it in extremely bad taste due to the severity and freakishness of his injury.

Hardly injury prone getting yer foot bent off.

Trolling,lol.

Um well how long has it been since Pat Richards has gone a season without spending ages on the sideline, shit not since he was in reggies even in 2000 he pulled out of matches due to injuries, therefore that makes him injury prone geeeeeez

Injury proned players are those who constantly injured. Players like Prince, Hodgson and Richards are just some of them. I would put Eric Grother Jnr in the catagory as well. It was unfortunate for Richards to suffer an injury like that but if you shoot off at the mouth Simon then certain things will come back and bite you on the a*se. Remeber you started the thread about how good a buy Richards was and now he might miss the entire season. I don't think yoiu will see much value for your money. But that's what you get when you spend money on those type of players.

I dont see how I was shooting my mouth off.I said I was really excited at how well Richards was going...which he was, evidence of this can be seen by watching Richards running 60 metres with Lyon in tow to WIN the sevens.I have a copy, you should watch it,great viewing IMHO ;-) ;-)

You say he is unjury prone....well,if it was the same injury I would agree. If he had done his knee again,or had a shoulder keep going(like Dykes) i could see your point. But two unrelated freakish accidents, one a head falling on his knee at Parra, and a bloke falling on his ankle and bending it is in no way injury prone. Its not like he has brittle bones or is little,he is one big fit unit.

You have let your sour grapes get in the way of reality......

Hey, being injury prone comes down to a luck in a lot of cases, and unfortunately, big Patty doesn't have a whole lot of it. Bad luck and injury prone are nearly one in the same, if you cop 'freak' injuries a few years in a row your still injury prone, but unlike guys who just have bad shoulders or knees that keep going out on them, you've probably walked under a few too many ladders or owned too many black cats...

I feel sorry for him, for sure, and the Tigers for losing a guy who was in top form, but injuries happen, and the whole 'I told you so' thing is just childish, and I don't think anybody should really be gloating that they were right about a guy having a good chance of copping a serious injury.

The difference being if you buy a player who has had many shoulder or knee recos, or recurring injuries it is indeed stupidity. How was there any evidence that this would happen, and therefore a bad buy?

And as Simon says (haha) this really was in bad taste for whoever brought the topic back up...
