Between these three you see what motivates the media and to an extent what SHOULD motivate the players.

He was acting like the reporter jumped Boyd outside a funeral in the offseason to ask him his favourite colour or something terrible like that. Then he got into with kent a bit and they both come out looking like wankers, having watched the show a fair bit this year I find Robbie is quite petty. When Willie Mason is more sensible than you there is a problem.

You have to remember footballers generally aren't endowed with genius. Most of them struggle to get a sentence straight when there is a camera. The only decent thing i have heard from Kent for awhile is the fact he finally figured out Thurston is a great role model for our game.
Took him long enough to realise over all the other muppets we have running around.

The media learn very little from past mistakes and maybe it is time they were held accountable for crap reporting skills.
Think back to Brett Seymour, how they attacked this player who only recently in England tried to commit suicide from his decade of depression.
The media was front and centre with his problems.
They then a decade later do the same to Darius Boyd, a complete lack of understanding and harm they are doing to a player who we all can see has problems dealing with media.

I think the NRL is part to blame. They sit back and take little action.
Here is what needs to be done.
A NRL media manager. This manager can attack the media, make comment, even enforce media who attaxck players to be sanctioned.
Until this happens, the NRL will continue to be the whipping boys of Australian sport.
Getting their heads continuously kicked in by other codes.

The NRL needs to be able to identify this and react accordingly.

Am I the only one who notices how many 'facts' this guy gets wrong?
He passes himself off as all knowing but gets basic things wrong in doing so.

Example 1: he was talking about Manny Pacquiao on triple m the other day and refered to him as Indonesian. He then went on to talking about how much he and his culture like karaoke, and said he witnessed this when he was in Thailand.
By a fking map you gimp And read a few books.

Example 2: he was on NRL360 last night and refered to Michael Bisping as an ex UFC champion. The would be like calling the sharks an ex NRL champion; it hasnt happened and doesn't look like happening any time soon.

I don't have a problem with ppl making mistakes, but this guy says things with a smarmy look on his face and passes himself off as an expert.
