Best thing that happened to Kent was on a footy field on the Central Coast where he got absolutely smashed by Mark Geyer.

Saw an ad for NRL 360 during the Saints-Cows game:

"We talk about the positive things in rugby league"

...
...
...well, others do.

Kent has got a article in the paper today again whinging about Boyd and players not supporting the media.

The guy is a a-class nucklehead who still cant see the forest through the trees.
He now is trying to blame the players for the games loss of viewers this year. Part of this is true, the other part is the broadcasters pick of stars that promote the game for them.

The lack of professionals in front of the camera, plus the fact that the media themselves have had a attack type mentallity against the players is the reason why players act the way they do. The media needs a total cleanout, and bring in the Yanks to get the game back on track, before it is too late.
Our media is now poisoned with old school habits.
The only way to fix this is a cleanout, same as ex-players who should be seen, not heard.

Until this happens, the culture of league is mud,,,,, wont change.
They had Adam Blair on a ad this week. ??? Adam Blair, ??? for the love of god lets clean out the marketing of our game before it completely implodes.
Get Guerra to promote the code, he is the one. Even humpty dumpty can see he is the One.

We should maybe see if we can get the wiggles to run the game. They would do a better job.

Don't always agree with kent but I really can't see what he said wrong here. Players need to wake up a little or a lot in some cases.

Whilst I don't particularly like the guy, I think both he and Matty Johns have a point when they say that the players have to get it through their heads that they're not just footy players, but also brand ambassadors, and when the game is getting a TV contract worth a billion dollars they've got to show a little willingness to engage with the media.

Let's not pretend like this is somehow unfair either - these guys get paid a lot of money to play a game at the end of the day, and they get looked after pretty well. Is it really too much to as that they should be expected to do a little PR work for the product?

Boyd was checking out of a hotel hardly a press conference type f**k up like last time. He may of wanted to speak to Bennett before commenting who knows.

Your hatred of the media, which is understandable, has dumbed you down a little.

Kent is one of the most negative personalities involved in the game. How are players going to open up to him when he does nothing but blame them.

f**k some of you are so precious when it comes to the media criticising the players. Why the butt hurt?

Nearly everything Kent says is 100% on the money.

Doesn't matter - he still could have done it better. But instead just carried on like a complete wanker.

Will be interesting to see what he says on 360 tonight. He's just raising the same issue again this year.

I understand his point and yeah players need to be educated on how to speak better in front of the media. They need to start from the younger generation.

Boyd is an example, a couple of occassions when he played for the Dragons and Knights where he just gave "Yeah" and "Nah" answers. Pathetic really.

Although last week was slightly different, it wasnt a planned press conference, just basically a reporter outside his hotel, which he wasnt aware and asked questions on a topic he probably only just found out. However, thats no excuse for being rude to the woman.

I dont know if any other league player or sports start couldve said anymore but at least a "Sorry cant really comment at this stage, only just found out" wouldve been fine.

Had a big sook as expected. What I liked though was Mason and Farah called him out on his shit, and like clockwork he just shouted the same argument over and over and flat out refused to listen to anyone.

Paul Kent is the biggest f**kwit in the league media. Far worse than Rothfield, who is a slimeball but seems to actually like the game. Kent I'm quite certain wouldn't even watch league if he didn't get paid for it

I honestly didn't think it was that bad, and I'm someone who gets pissed off by the media and the shit they pull on a regular basis. Predictably Kent was on the media's side in this but the reason he got wound up was because, as he probably expected, Mason and Farah lept to Boyd's defence and blamed the journo. But by his standards it wasn't really that much of a rant, his one a couple of weeks ago regarding Carney was a lot more passionate than tonights.
