Kent probably has good reason to not wanna talk about off-field dramas....

Kinda funny hearing Ben Ikin chastising player misbehaviour.

Anyone remember his antics at a Gold Coast nightclub which ended with him getting a broken jaw?

His behaviour wasn't any better at the Bears.

There is just a very toxic relationship between the media the clubs. Who knows how it started, but it it's massively handicapping the game, and if very peculiar to NRL.

On another note, J.T's book is a great read. ,

The Super League war was where it started.

The Tele had a conflict of interest but instead used it to garbage the ARL. After the war ended, the mindset was ingrained and allowed to continue.

Paul Kent was despicable in towing the News ltd agenda aimed at weakening the code in Sydney on NRL 360 tonight! It was disgraceful! His(News Ltds) rhetoric can and has proven very damaging for the code going forward. I recall an episode of 360 last year Kent stating "You can't hurt the game in Sydney anymore ! It's been hurt enough!" Not so today. A complete about face pleasing his News Ltd masters no end!

He was responding to the Greenberg interview. If you’ve a problem with the notion of failed clubs being relocated you might want to ring Todd!

No. Kent's response was his interpretation you numbscull! Other people could have interpreted Greenburgs statement very differently. And thankfully Phil Gould has proposed a twenty team two conference set up in lieu of the negativity from Kent's interpretation.

Kent frothing at the mouth over Hame Sele being named for Panthers after them saying he broke his arm. Only they didn't. Coach Cleary after they game said the club hoped it wasn't fractured and so it has turned out.

How would you expect him to “interpret” the nrl ceo saying relocation is something they are considering you goose?

Is there facts that the NRL are considering relocating teams, or just Kent's view on the matter?

That whole relocation of a Sydney team is a beat-up.

He's raising fear amongst the fears and making them angry against the CEO over nothing.

Kent said that there's a provision within the NRL charter whereby they can relocate teams that are struggling.

This has always been around. Anyone remember 1995 when Balmain became the Sydney Tigers and played at Parramatta; When Canterbury became Sydney Bulldogs and played at Parramatta. When Easts became Sydney City?

Kent was just talking about a rule that exists to tap into the constant chatter that they've been trying to turn into a big deal for the last few years.

Why? Because if they get everyone keen on axing an NRL club and the NRL goes through with it, the News Ltd mob can then attack the NRL for axing an NRL club.

It's a win/win situation for them.

Create chaos=win

Stability is their worst enemy.

Kents assumptions were inflammatory and negative in so many platforms. I know you can't work that out but there you go!

Absolutely! News ltd are intent and have historically been intent at scare mongering the fans of rugby league . It sells their papers and has no genuine positive for this code at all .

It also gives him something to talk about endlessly and write about. Makes his job easy.
