Peachy has to go

Dare I say it ?

Peachy has to go, he is under performing and the spirit he brings to the club is not need or wanted by other players. He struts around like a superstar, Well Peachy as much as I "enjoyed" watching you play, your best days are behind you and the rest of the NRL back have caught up with you my friend.

Your sportsmanship and ill discipline have infected our team, thankfully BK is there most weeks to control you and not give you a reason to speak out.

Thanks for your service, but you use by date have come to an end.

Whilst I know I will cop flack and comments about everything from my mother to me being an expert on nothing, the history on Peachy's last 3 years are there for all to see. He does not want to play anymore he just wants the $$ for his future. Well his future is in Tinga not the Shire.

I will grab my flack jacket, dig a gun pit and await your comments BTR, Millernose and all the rest of the 2000+ posters.

On a completely different not....I wish all a Happy Easter.

Im on a UNIX course in the City, UNIX sucks

Yes Nuffs, exactly the reply I expect from the robotic Shark posters.

Can you tell me what Peachy has brought to the team in the last 2 seasons ? The positive stuff I mean, you don't need to mention the trouble with police, the desertion to the bush the level of football, all that stuff we can read and see for ourselves. I mean what "positive" things has he brought.

He has served us extremely well over the years, but the days of being a safehaven for loyal players needs to stop. The Sharks is a business and needs to be run as such, not a sheltered workshop for any player who has played for us for longer than 10 years.

Last year he was one of our best players ...

This year both games was one of the better players we've had ...

Oh i have an idea lets get rid of the Peach and put Dave "the chosen one" Simmons in the fullback spot .....

Im not saying that.
What im saying is lets start buying players we need, not cheap players who are no better than the ones we have.

if his recent form or lack of form and his attitude are any gauge then you are close to the mark military shark.

have you wondered why it was such a drawn out contract negotiation last year resulting in only a one year deal??

if peachey was negotiating now what would the outcome be?

the very disappointing thing is he has been one of our best ever players but whats with his attitude problem?

nothing wold please most shark followers to see the real peachey re appear....will it happen though?

Peach has been great from the start of last season until now ... and last year he was going through a divorce (imagine if he was happy how he would of played) We would have lost 3 or 4 more games last year if it wasn't for him

Mate he blew up the other day where he should have shut up but he's still playing great footy and he will still be in our top 5 best players this year .. All im saying to you is wait until the season has finished before you start calling for his head ....

And who do we suggest we replace Peachey with??????

He is still far and away our best option at fullback.

While I can appreciate your look at this Troy, I would suggest that by the time a decision is made by the board IRT Peachy, then any "decent" players on the market have been snapped up.

Troy, if it were your decision would you sign him for next year ? And to add to that, how much would you offer him ?

i agree, we need big timers who put their money were their mouth is, not a bunch of under 19 hopefuls...

that is a very pertinent point you raise sullyfan......who indeed?

simmons shows attacking promise but his defence has been non existent , so if we cant fill this position from within then recruitment better get a move on.

can you see peachey being a force in 2006?? let alone 2005??

the successful, ruthless bronco management rarely hold a player one year too long will cronulla?

Lets lay off Peach !! We have Simmons and Lomu to worry about don't we ?? And you guys are talking about future replacements - well at the club there is nobody better and its the 2nd bloody round so we're not even going to think of buys for next year !! And for Fargs sake when we have forwards missing tackles cold on their goal line and we have wingers who can't catch or tackle, we have a lot more to worry about then good old Peach ...

happy easter to you too MS

why me?

i thought i was a "peachey hater" ccording to jimbo and reefy

i can understand your sentiments

but i would make a couple of points

1. there is no better alternative

2. peachey gets a lot of respect in attack from opposition backlines and is heavily marked - dykes used that to great effect in the penrith game

3. peachey is the only outside back that looks remotely like making a break or creating something by himself

I agree he is probably our best option for this year. But he shouldn't be there, we should have bought a good fullback last year. As with next year we should buy a "good" fullback.

Instead of buying 10 front/second rowers we should have bought one good player besides Dykes (who I think will be our player of the year)

its just a wind up. I'm not biting.
Nobody would openly admit to being so stupid.
Well theres Pogo & DS I guess, but they are weird.

On the fullback position, the Sharks have 9 weeks to find a replacement for Peach so they better hurry up. because if they dont resign Peach for 06 season, the Sharks will be trying for a premiership in that year with the likes of Simmons or Merrit whop is also off contract & is not considered a fullback by our coach. (Thank geezus there is a coach at Newtown with a footy head).

So, we are going into 06 at this stage with out a regular first grade fullback unless we buy an off contract experienced one.
So, we are looking at $300-400k for a fullback or keep peachy @130k or promote Simmons.

your consistent pot shots at stuart raper are about as good as your assessment of peacheys form and attitude backflip.

go forward with peachey as fullback into the 2006 season.....you must be kidding!
