Didn't say that either, but I'm also not silly enough to rule out unrest simply because of someone smilingYou are right. Everything about the club is hell

Neither am I. The words used was 'Peachey and Griffin's relationship was untentable'. It didn't look that bad too me. Open training session included
Players don't leave if they are happy. The truth would be somewhere in the middle
Pretty much.
Just joking. Seriously though it does seem we are slumping a little after the rebuild. Hopefully everything pays off but confidence isn't exactly high.
Again, you're completely missing the point - Smiling at a training session does not necessarily mean he is happy there... I don't know for sure if he is or not, but to base your 'It didn't look that bad to me' opinion on the fact he is smiling in a picture is just weird.
Are you 100% serious? I'm happy in my job, but if someone offered me more money I'd leave... Players most definitely DO leave teams, happy or not - To think that players only leave a club if they're unhappy is just plain wrong.
Which may be true, it may not be - My point is, you can't definitively tell simply because he's smiling in a pictureI am talking about the rumours that he is leaving due to not getting on with the coach
It is hard to not to listen to nonsense with no footy. Yes guys leaving is frustrating but we have a top 4 team. Depth looks shaky but could be ok due to:
2016 - NYC made the GF. U18's won the National Championship
Most of these players are still floating around. Edwards and co in the top grade.
Last year NYC made PF. NSW Cup won the whole thing. 11 of that 17 stayed.
That is ontop of the NRL team achievements. 14 odd players re-signed to play despite this coach (Including Bryce and Moylan) lured another 2 test players.
That is the point lost on the haters outside the club.

This all means that our depth is one of the best in the NRL.
All teams now seem to use most of their cap on the first grade side. Lower grade signings are more for "cover". Players need to play in more than one position.
This wont make me popular - but it is my view.
I'm not that disappointed in Peach or Bryce leaving. They both have had defensive issues, the both should have stepped up in their footy by now.
We keep saying there is potential, but at some stage it needs to be realised.
Give me a Yeo or CHN over either of them any day. Even Edwards over Moylan.
Clearly we are looking to play a grinding type of game and adjusting the team accordingly.
Nothing wrong with those thoughts. I am the same we need guys that fit the style we are playing.. Fans won't care if we win.
Has put the pressure on though
I think all the pressure is on Griffin and Gus - they have made some massive calls recently and the team needs to back that up with results.
Secondly - they need to re-sign Cleary, no matter what.
If we're getting rid of our attacking players, and going for a more defensive, grind it out game plan, it's going to be boring to watch - Don't get me wrong, I'll love it if it brings wins, but I won't get excited about watching games if it's just a grind all the time with no attacking flair.. My opinion obviously, understand if all don't feel that way.
Melbourne have been playing like that for years now.
I agree it is not an exciting style of play. However, we did suffer a few times last year when Bryce and Moylan were targeted in defence. Maloney will need a good lock defending next to him.
It does suit our forward pack though (if they play to their potential), especially RCG
True, but then I've never gone out of my way to watch Melbourne play, probably because of that.
That's where we fall apart in my opinion, Maloney isnt an upgrade in defence by any stretch and nothing should really change at the lock position, it'll be Merrin. So I just don't see where the improvement in defence is happening..
That I'll agree with, but RCG is that good he'd excel no matter the game plan.
I dont see Maloney being used any differently in defence than Soward was. We've never managed to hide a shit defensive half under Hook. Dont see that magically changing for Maloney. But Maloney will defend near the ruck. Bryce and Moylan defend out wide, as does Peachey. All of whom can be guilty of the odd missed tackle defending our line.
Rushing up to slow players down only works if your defensive line is ready and able to cover you.Storm scored 633 points last year.
Roosters 500
Parra 496
Sharks 476
NQ 467
We scored 504 in a year when Moylan and Cartwright barely played.
We need to improve the attack inside our 20. a few set moves is all we need
Defence and basic errors was our problem. Danny Buderus I think it was said about Maloney. He tries to put pressure on and falls off tackles. Slows them down enough for others to finish the tackles off.
I didn't want many Sharks games but that had decent defence so maybe it is true and he won't be that bad
