Very promising seeing he has half the heart and work ethic of our boy

and in a more difficult position. He will touch the ball 95% of the time Parra have it. Apparently was right to go last week if not for the bye so the Storm game is a chance for Nathan

1 Edwards
6 Korisau
7 Burton
9 Kenny

Thats how i would go. Gives more in attack than May in the halves.

Api doesnt have a kicking game but is dangerous when he runs the ball.

Tyrone May in the halves again?
What viable options are there? They've had 2 weeks to plan for this game. I'm expecting him to go better. Actually he went Ok last game but a bit lost with the ball in hand at times, that's all. Not summing up the situation quickly enough. People expect a Nathan Cleary clone. If he was that we couldn't afford him.

Everything is fine!!

If you take out the State of Origin halves from our side we won’t win the comp; and nor should we in a salary cap league. We will still be competitive but we won’t win three knock-out games in a row against the other good teams in the league. We just need to accept that.

Agreed. But we also shouldn't be losing to bottom 8 teams, regardless of who we have out. Good teams find a way.

We've been kissed on the dick by injuries for the past 2 seasons. But I reckon it's biting us at the moment.

Let's also consider that Burton is gone for 2022. And May and Kenny haven't re-signed either, and could also be out the door. In terms of our depth, and squad management, we're all in for this season. Which is why it's important to finish Top 2 - by winning the games we expected to.

They've had 2 weeks to plan for this game. I'm expecting him to go better.

This was my thoughts too, but apparently they've all had a week off. So we're probably looking at 1 ballwork session without our Origin players, and maybe a bit of ballwork in the Captain's Run. We're gonna be clunky.

Edit: Apparently this is incorrect. Happy to be proven wrong.

I am not expecting a Nathan clone, what about Kurt Falls?

They have not had the week off.
They had a full week of training. Luai and Cleary were both in attendance. Also P Wallace was present at the sessions. There should be much improvement.
They had the weekend off due to no game.

He will be given his chance in due course, and appears to be needed next year, but throwing him in at the deep end probably isn't the way to go when more experienced options exist.

Having said that I thought he might have got a run in this match but IC knows best how ready he is.

Isn't Falls in the top 30? If he is, I thought he could travel?

He is development squad.

They can only take 41 that includes Trainers, Coaches etc.

They realistically think they will be home for the Souths game so are taking the FT squad only.

Falls and co still will train here and join if needed. Although depending on if they let Fish go up early enough might need another

Thats fine for under 10s but to win comps in the NRL you need to be far more imaginative.
If we play Melbourne in a final with May in the halves we have no chance and that's our only goal for 2021
