We still have a world-class halfback in Craig Gower second only to Joey Johns. A Champion full back in Rhys Wesser, two of the best wingers in the world; Luke Rooney and Luke Lewis, a fantastic little 5/8 in Preston Campbell (for one more year, anyway) Two of the most damaging 2nd Rowers in the comp; Tony Puletua and Frank Pritchard, at least one of our champion props; Joel Clinton and a hooker who is, I.M.O. just as good, if not better than Danny Buderus; Luke Priddis.

write us off if you dare, but do so at your own peril.

Rooneys ordinary
Lewis is ok but has too learn to read the game better i defence
Pritchard and Pulatua on their day are devastating but they produce more bad games than good.

It just my opinion but it could very well be another long disappointing season.

Penrith will have a decent kicker next year...which will help them greatly...they lost a few games this year they should of won and with a decent kicker they would of -
Newcastle will no doubt be much better -

every clubs performance seems to revolve around injuries tho

Campbell is all right as our GK, but I would like to see Shane Rodney assume that role next year - he's a gun. Rodney should be in the starting 13 next year... his workrate is top notch, and is always in the play. IMO he's one of the most under rated players in the NRL, and is rep quality...

Gower led his team to a premiership in the number 7 jumper. Something Finch will never do. That alone puts Gower way ahead of Finch. I agree he isn't anywhere near Johns' Class, but then no current player is.

Not only should he be in the "starting 13" he should be in the "13" Jersey as well!

For mine he would make a better Lock than a 2nd Rower. Trent Waterhouse should be a starting 2nd Rower. He's been playing out of position all year. Trent and Shane should swap jerseys.

You can laugh as much as you like. In the end Luke Priddis has been a better Hooker than Danny Buderus this season. Check out the Stats on the N.R.L. website if you don't believe me.

Stats only tell half the story as u well know Jimmy. Priddis is a very good player, but not in the same class as Buderus. Just look at who will be wearing the number nine jumper on Saturday.

Luke Priddis is way better than Danny Buderus.

If they both didnt come from the same state, then every year in S.O.O you would see Priddis whip Buderus' ass every year. The selector are just too whimpy to change their minds on players especially in such key positions.

Next year Rodney will be the Anthony Watmough of '05 and Lewis will be the comeback kid and play with the form that saw him get on the Kangaroo tour in '04.

Rodney is very Steve Menzies like. He won't be Hindmarsh but will be very good.

If he gets the number 13 jersey next year he will be close to rep selection.

Him and Gower are forming a brilliant combination.

Gower is better then Johns. He's is a better defender and he keeps his head in the tough situations.

Priddis is WAY better then Buderus.

As for Luke Lewis, he should have been the first center picked for Australia. His non selection is a farce!
