Stats only tell half the story as u well know Jimmy. Priddis is a very good player, but not in the same class as Buderus. Just look at who will be wearing the number nine jumper on Saturday.

:roll: Actually, he is in exactly the same class as Buderus. Who did the selectors pick for the Roos squad this season when Buderus was injured? Why would they pick Luke Priddis for the Australian No 9. If "Priddis is not in the same class as Buderus" as you suggest??

The only reason why Buderus will be in the No 9 Jersey this Saturday is because selectors love "incumbency" and are too sh*t scared to try anyone else for Roos Hooker despite their performance thus far.

Buderus is a brilliant hooker. Of that there is no question. If you'd asked me two years ago who was the better Hooker between Buderus and Priddis I would have agreed with you that Buderus had the edge. In Season 2004 and this year however, Luke Priddis has been the form Hooker in the N.R.L.

That doesn't necessarily mean anything. League experts and selectors alike love incumbency. Danny Buderus will always be winning "player of the year awards" and getting selected for Rep committments because none of them have the guts to give Priddo a chance. Why do you think Minichello is always selected at fullback for the Roos/N.S.W. Hodgson was clearly a much better fullback this season than Anthony Minichiello was.

ok i did and i see that priddis has played 23 games this year(05) and buderus only 15..so you cant really compare...the stats will be in priddis's favour only coz of the amount of time he played.

Our bench will not contain Stapleton or Thompson. They were bought for depth to Play Premier League in case of injuries.

Bryan Norrie is all class. He will be brilliant for us. Dragons PL player of the year. We bought Ross from Dragons PL as well...people seem to forget that.

Nope, buderus is a better passer, better runner, better tackler, better playmaker... Priddis has nothing on buderus but a tiny bit of a kicking game and ill discipline.
