dont be suprised if this isnt the last on this subject as ive heard from someone in the camp that both he and Joe Gulavao have been really dirty on the club about this. they said something pretty nasty but i couldnt get it out of my mate. hopefully its just because there in the build up to a test so there all pumped full of kiwi pride. i think as soon as they get back into penrith mode they should calm down abit. i hate seeing clubs go through infighting.

Shiznit. This is all hearsay and a load of dribble. If i see crap like this written by you again in this forum I will delete it.

Nobody has given a stuff about Utai, Galuvao, Rbasically don't give a stuff about this subject any more. It's been blown WAY out auhihi or any of the others who have pulled out with injury. Where is THEIR proof that their injuries are any more urgent or need any longer rehabilitation time than Tony's ???

I think it's time that the New Zealand fans go whinge to their hearts content on their own forums, because they've already done WAY more than their fair share here.

.

nzrl have agreed that joe gaulavo and matt utai won't make it back in time for the start of the season, an INDEPENDENT medical check says tony will have enough time to recover even if he goes on tour and paul rauhihi is going on tour.

and where in the rules of this forum does it say AUSSIES only allowed here!

Carl your arguement has gone from annoying to just plain pathetic.

If Tony leaves Penrith next year, so be it. If that is what he wants no one can stop him. Until that time, he is on the Penrith payroll and he has to do what they say. Same with another employer.

So why don't you build a bridge and get over it. Its not the last test that is going to be played. Tony will be back next year playing for NZ in the Anzac day test. (unless he plays in England, makes the injury worse, and has to miss the first part of the season)

international rules has to be changed to be like the aussies rules are on this situation of clubs wanting players to stay home for surgery. aussies rule = only the NRL doctor can rule the player out.

teams like penrith are holding league back!

I'm not mightypanther but I read her line as in it saying why don't you take your whinging to the Warriors section of this forum rather than keep coming here in the Penrith section with an agenda to believe every thing that is written by the New Zealand media.

We don't believe what is written is the truth.

Dougsall with all respect Tony has an ankle injury that needs surgery. It's his injury that is holding him back. He was advised by the best Ankle surgeon in Australia to have it done immediately or risk an early retirement. He's 25. Retirement at that age would more fearful over anything else and is most likely the reason he is reluctantly decided to have surgery on Nov. 21.

the thing i am mostly disappointed is that he wants to play but penrith have over ruled his decision. the penrith management wouldn't have to have said they will bring up his contract to him (ie. take him to court) if tony didn't want to go on the tour and believed he will be fine.

clinton toopi needed surgery and hes going!

Yeah but what type of surgery is it and will he miss any of the season? Had he been booked in already like Puletua has?

it is his thumb that has plagued him for the last two seasons, he missed a few games this year cause of it.

he was suppose to have already had it done but he cancelled it due to the kiwis needed him. hopefully he won't miss any matches.

It is but i'd rather him not play in one series of Internationals then miss the start of our season because we need to get off to a good start. He is 25, he has tones of more Test matches for New Zealand in him.

I want to hear Tony talk to the media or see quotes from him seeing what he actually wants.

Face your club is turing into the Roosters...you keep going on and on and on about the qoute...ill ask him after the game tomorrow...at the after match function

Gee and I'd love to hear a quote from you.

Even if Puletua says he wants to have surgery, you'll come on and say "Puletua told me he wants to tour"

Gee yours and my credibility isn't that good if i was to get a quote from puletua, noone would f**king believe it.

Same with you.

Get over it you toss.

If New Zealand can't replace Puletua for 2 matches, your more f**ked than I thought.

hearing from tony in the past he is very passionate about playing for the kiwis (just behind ruben wiki) and i don't understand why penrith would threaten him with legal proceedures if they didn't know he wanted to go on the tour.

most of the bad shit is coming from New Zealand Media.

Carl, i'd much rather a respected and the best ankle Surgeon in Australia take care of me than some All Blacks doctor.

Maybe you should pull your head out of your ass and read the headlines in your country too...its funny when your national coach is on our side...

Penrith must be to far away from the city

Lets read some of todays SMH aye?

http://www.smh.com.au/articles/2004/10/14/1097607374707.html

"New Zealand strike forward Tony Puletua will reluctantly have ankle surgery next week after Penrith threatened to impose financial sanctions if he did not return home following tomorrow's opening Tri-Nations match against Australia."

"But when I spoke to [Penrith chief executive] Mick Leary this afternoon and asked him if he'd seen the copy of Dr Mayhew's report we'd sent through, he said that he hadn't but it didn't matter. The club expected him home and he made it clear that should Tony choose to tour against their wishes, there would be financial and legal ramifications for him."

New Zealand coach Daniel Anderson said Puletua was shattered by the news but realised that he also had an obligation to Penrith.

This is all in your papers....I cant beleive Penrith are listen to a DR who works on cricket players comapired to a DR who has worked on the All Blacks for 10 years!!

What does Mark Geyer's comments have to do with anything doug?

Seriously?

He talks out is ass like you!

His comments again are unrealistic, so he is saying they have picked a reserve grade team meaning the Panthers players are reserve grade players
