It would be a travesty if Chris Walker won the comp. Particularly after the shabby way he treated Souths.
Agree 100% pop ......IMO there is no way the roosters could have come this far, as convincingly as they did, without picking up their little mid-season bonus of a QLD rep for 45k.................Its a totally unfair adavantage that should never have been allowed to even come close to happening..................A clause to keep this waynka out of the game for a year would've been the better option!

A year? Why stop there! He started hawking himselves around to the rugby clubs, I'd prefer to see him rubbed out of all sport forever.

At least when he plays we've got some good chants about his dirty girlfriend.

Also a big factor for the Penrith win. No luke philips.

I reckon he saved 17 tries in two GF's for the Roosters.

& no Bryan Fletcher also.

& no Hodges

Flannery wounded, Fittler wounded, Fitzgibbon at only 90% as well.

I cant see anything but a Roosters win. I'll be cheering Penrith but I just cant see them winning.
On Luke Phillips I heard he had 17 needles to play in last years GF. Is this true or just fantasy?

When you get needles they spread it around the area rather than injecting it all in one spot. I find it hard to believe any human could still be standing after 17 full syringes.

Exactly what I thought BTR but I heard many Roosters took the field with needles in last years GF against the Warriors and Phillips had 17 needles himself. If its true no wonder he didnt play this year. There must be someone on here who can confirm or deny this thats close to the Roosters.

It is possible though that what they meant was 17 jabs from the one syringe or even 17 total after halftime topups if they tried them.

But there's no way he'd of had 17 full barrels.

Maybe you are right Frenzy. I thought there may be a few Roosters carrying injuries (Fittler,Hegarty,Cross,Fitzgibbon) but the story I got told was the Roosters had problems last year and the needles did the trick so it shouldnt worry them this year. It was then mentioned Phillips had 17 needles. I nearly fell over but was assured this was correct. I was talking to a dead set Roosters fanatic and he doesnt lie so I'm wondering where this info come from. He goes to all their games and backs up at the club so I have no reason to doubt him so he's got the info from somewhere.
He didnt say jabs(not that I asked him) but he said needles.

Great player that he is, I have watched Brad Fittler favouring THAT arm in the last few games. It was particularly obvious against the Dogs. How long can he keep on doing this?

I was very happy Penrith won last night but privately I think the Roosters will not be too happy with Mr Harrigan. I thought his appointment would suit the Roosters (and it should of). There was a very skinny 10 metres which I thought would suit the Roosters but looking back it helped the Panther defence more.Penrith still missed 43 tackles to Roosters 27.(Preston missed 10 of them). If the 10 was wider you'd think the missed tackle count would have went up. The Roosters made 389 tackles to 305.Bill normally has a very good 10 metres.
A penalty count of 2-1(Penrith) showed Billy boy let a lot of things go. It made for a good spectacle but somehow I think the Roosters wont be real happy today.
The so called new Supercoach couldnt come up with anything to combat the small 10 metres. I cant remember too many kicks in behind the defence or anything out of the ordinary to break Penrith up. Well done Penrith you got what you deserved and finally the Roosters got their's too.

If that's the case - it's about time the Roosters copped some of their own medicine. I've no sympathy for them.
