Kiks, best 2nd rower in the game by soo sooo sok much.

Hes worth a million a year in this form. Maybe more

Sure but when the going gets tough where will he be? He missed 4 tackles in his 25 today. His defense is only average. Yes in great form but he has flaws. In a strong side those are not noticed.

Agree with whoever mentioned Eiso. Pretty crazy that we have the best player in the game sidelined and still get that quality from his replacement. You can tell he watches what Yeo does with ball in hand very closely. He's got those late soft hands and the ability to tuck it under the wing and charge at the last second. He's slower than Yeo and with less power but other than that very similar player.

Knights were abject. Healthy, boisterous crowd there today and they got served absolute nuts from their team.

A bit of a training run but we put the cleaners through them properly. Not much more you can ask. Leniu, Edwards, Kikau and To'o were all great. Shoutout to Kenny, not usually my cup of tea but he offered plenty off the bench today.

Could’ve hit 60 if we didn’t leave Huth on the bench for 50mins. Severely under played today imo. Some of his passing and timing of said passing, was sublime. From Plod to God.

Re; Kiks, he is on another planet to any other backrower in the comp atm and Luai’s decision making when using him has been
superb.

Kikau is having an great year. Seriously good form. Hope he doesn't get maimed in the test match in a fortnight.

Crichton hit the mark with his passes too. Might have got a few tips in Origin camp.

I think the variation in minutes we’ve seen over the last 3 weeks is purely to see how players go with slightly different roles and give some guys an extended gallop. Kenny/Leniu this week, Salmon/Fish last, I wouldn’t be surprised to see Leota and Sorenson get some big minutes next week. All those guys have done well with their expanded roles which is awesome, they’re ready to step up if needed.

The club admitted they didn't handle last year well... So they do the same thing again.

Time will tell I guess
What do you mean by the same thing?

When we played the Tigers last year without Origin players we played with makeshift halves and lost. This year when we played the Dogs in similar circumstances we promoted our reggies halves and won.

When we played the sharks last year just after Origin we rested most of our stars and lost. This year we played the Knights in similar circumstances we played most of our Origin players and won.

So there are some pretty big differences between the approach from this year to last year. Just because they haven’t used the approach you favoured doesn’t mean that they did the wrong thing. In fact, on the most objective of measures they gained an additional 4 competition points versus last year so it appears that some positive lessons were learnt from last year and (albeit a small sample size) the approach has wielded positive results.

You continually death-ride the club and the staff (coaches and players alike) but the reality is this year we are 2 points on an absolute basis and 4 points on a relative basis better off versus where we were at a similar time last year. The club is doing a great job and your increasingly shrill comments to the contrary just further weaken your credibility.

I think resting key players when they're physically fine to play sends a dangerous message. Yes we have a pretty good gap, but we demolish most teams in this comp because the squad plays just as hard against the Knights as they do against the Storm. Get the squad thinking we can just let competition points go and we might see some dangerous attitudes come in.

Given our position I like the idea of saying "if you're right to go you go and give 100%" and ignore the competition table. Winning and losing are habits as much as they are anything else.

I love the idea of this squad doing something record breaking too. They deserve it.

Point 1 - no one has credibility on an opinion based forum. It is all just opinion.

Point 2 - I got carved up early on the year for saying we would be undefeated after 10 rounds...so you are full of shit saying I death ride the club

Now to your reply

Ivan as a coach has had mild success. Most of which was with the Warriors who don't have to navigate things such as Origin.

As a club the only player who has had to go through it is Cleary.

2020 Origin was after the season

Last year my 2 Favourite players ( I expect a numpty like you spin this) Yeo and Luai were down. Luai himself admitted to needing to lift this year

Do they end the year better from missing games instead of lightening training?

Seems opinion in this thread is 50/50.

Did Kevvie Walters get it wrong not playing Cobbo or Capewell?

What about Payten not playing Cotter or Nanai?

Their opinion's were to rest guys. No way is 100% fool proof or the correct way but in an OPINION based forum. Discussing such things is allowed and doesn't mean posters are deathriding anything. Just discussing alternative views
