How about.
7. Api
6. Burton
9. Kenny
14. May.
Api will be in NSW. Prefer halves to train together that 2 weeks

I would expect Api to be named at 14 for NSW, with Wighton to 6. Precious little time to run moves and you're weakening one position to strengthen another. How about.

Falls and Salmon are not in the bubble so aren't options, unless I'm mistaken.
Yeah you're no doubt right about that. It'd be a brave or foolhardy move to play him in the 7 though. He doesn't seem to have been knocking down any doors. He's probably next man up if one of our makeshift halves combo goes down, though.Salmon for sure is in our Top 30. Why wouldn't he be in the bubble?
May will be in the halves simple .Cleary has had many options before and always picked him it will not change. He really has no other option than burton as well .Mono back in the centers
It would have been a very strange thing to do, though. May was always in the plans to be the halves back up for this year, in the then unlikely event that both Cleary and Luai made the NSW side. Ivan must've known there was an issue with him from the start hence the game plan to play him as a second lock, doing the lion's share of the defence. It might have worked had Wests not turned up and run at him all game. All they can do now is get him up to speed. I'm not convinced it can't be done. The WT game was the time to blood a new 7. Could be 3 games in and up to speed
The advantage this game as to the tigers game is the origin boys will be back Yeo and capewell gives both defence and attack and With TO’O is back he will love the slow lazy warriors defendersIt would have been a very strange thing to do, though. Yeah as I've said May doesn't have a single attribute of a half. Ivan is way too conservative and has a real blind spot for him. The way he doesn't learn or adapt is a real worry going forwardMay at half was a dumb decision for a number of reasons at the time (we were a Moses choke away from losing, remember?), but now Luai is out, it sure would have been nice for Burton to have had another game at half under his belt before being thrown in with Mr. Invisible again and be expected to run the game again for the next two games or so. We are lucky that they are against the Warriors and the Broncos.

I'm sure he's mindful of the need to have not one but two backup halves for next year with Cleary and Luai certain to be in the NSW side. A project for the off-season perhaps. The need for two would be a good reason to get May up to scratch at this stage.Comes back to Ivan not thinking far ahead. Burton leaves next year getting Falls up to speed has benefits for this time next year

Yeah, but May isn't up to speed.Yeah but you have maybe 2 weeks. By the time they are up to speed in NRL they are out
