He has expressed support to his best friend after losing his job.

He hasn't said anything that he didn't deserve it. Or that he disagreed with it etc. His message is crystal clear. I publicly have your back no matter what. But oh no a bunch of dickheads on the internet cant have a friend supporting another friend. They're quick to judge him for anything and everything he does or doesn't do. So why try deciding how a bunch of nobodies he will never meet are going to interpret his support and just do what he thinks is best for his friend?

If nobody is wondering why the f**k is it front page news the second he does absolutely anything? He expressed his support immediately and it's done with.

Im sure it would be much better waiting a few days to bring the story back to the front page though. Makes a lot of sense. The story is (or should be) done and dusted now.

May is gone. The club will offer him help. His best friend declared he had his back but stopped short of saying the club did wrong by him or he didnt deserve it etc. He supported his mate without saying anything that supported his actions and disagreed with the consequences

Its all context. You can support them privately, but if you have the platform he does, then it looks more like he is condoning his actions. He could have worded it better.
I think he worded it perfectly to support him without actually saying anything that supports his actions, paints him as a victim or suggests he didnt deserve what he got.

Ideally he wouldn't be friends with him to begin with. But they grew up together and love each other like brothers. So long as he doesn't cross the line into supporting his actions or having an issue with the clubs actions he's fine.

Posting it publicly stops the media being able to do their 'privately Cleary is feeling this etc.' shit stories they love to do aswell. Can just see the stories about how he is privately very disappointed with the club and their decision to sack his best mate. So saying nothing at all, or saying it privately wouldn't work either.

there is no need to post support for an imbecile like May. I admire someone for saying you are my mate and if you need me I am here. Posting on social media just emphasises the immaturity of cleary.
This is just one of many instances where he has shown to be immature or not have to worry about consequences of his actions.
Many of the players there need a great big "GROW THE EFF UP". It will be interesting to see how long Cleary jnr goes without realising its not going to last and he needs to transfer his maturity on the field to his attitude off the field. Somehow I don't think his father will be the catalyst for that
Lets see now. Someone posting on social media asserting that posting on social media emphasises one's immaturity. And a moderator at that.

Although wanting a killer freed
See that was never proven and Fifita denied that's what it meant. That was the media spin yet you fell for it hook line and sinker.

And you want sympathy for the Chin because obviously his message is just supporting a mate and should not be interpreted as giving a big finger to the club and the victim.

Doesn't matter how talented Nathan is, Ivan Cleary is a deadset failure as a father if he lets his daughter anywhere near that pleb

PREMIERSHIP winning teams aren't often well liked by opposition fans. Look, I'm not too happy with some of the judgement of some of our players off the field and like most I'm happy that a bad egg has been let go but I've also been lapping up people's unhappiness, moaning and begrudging of our success. Get a life or don't get a life and keep moaning it doesn't bother me.

Plenty of shit will either get thrown at us, or there will be no doubt some other lunk head at another club who will bring back the lolz.

Gotta remember, this is a comedy site. One big fooking laugh.
