The Thing That Should Not Be crap??????????????

It's the second best track on there after Sanitarium!!!!!!

Aaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhh

And by the way Master of Puppets is their masterpiece. From the Black album onwards it started to go very wrong.

When Bob Rock got involved they started to go downhill. Look where they are now :(
Although still a killer live show

Couldn't agree more, Thingy is a killer track and an absolute monster when they play it live. At the Syd Ent when they last played they did Sanitarium followed by Thingy, I loved it.

Others will disagree based on filler tracks disqaulifying them but I have to put forward any Kyuss release as perfect albums, it's purely a personal choice but they are all brilliant albums with Welcome To Sky Valley and And The Circus Leaves Town.... being my stand outs.

Very, very difficult to find a "perfect" album -- most of my favorites (including some mentioned already) wouldn't qualify. These are a few I do consider *perfect* (wouldn't change a single note):

PFM - Per un Amico
Magma - Kohntarkosz
Magma - Mekanik Destructiw Kommandoh
Anglagard - Epilog
Banco del Mutuo Soccorso - Darwin
Present - Triskaidekaphobie

I'd actually say that "Thing" and "Sanitarium" are probably the weakest tracks on the album.... but they're still classics, that's how good "Puppets" is.
Even if I was going to be very strict in my interpretation of "perfect" where no entire album would qualify I'd still regard side two of "Puppets" as utterly perfect though, there's hardly a note in those four tracks that isn't utter genius.

Yeah, I think 'The Thing...' and 'Welcome Home' are definately the least best songs on MOP, but I just find the first two albums more appealing than MOP for some reason.

Thankfully they played most of their better songs live last tour here.

3 that instantly come to mind for me.

Therapy-Troublegum
Megadeth-Rust in Peace
Suicidal Tendencies- Lights, Camera, Revelution.

"Kill" never really did it for mee as much, and although "Lightning" is great, it's let down badly by "Escape", and "Call of Ktulu" while great is way too long.

Sacrilege Dread, sacrilege!!!!!!!!!!!

Planet Caravan is certainly different but I love the dominant bass line.

And it's atmospheric which is generally the thing that 'gets' me when it comes to music.

for me fairies wear boots was the let down of that album

lazy lyric writing

planet caravan was brilliant and i wish they did more of that wes montgomery style jazz stuff

I think tommy lee hasn't been to many Bon Jovi concerts ;-) say what you like about em but they're one of the best live bands going around and jon can work a crown like few others.

No Code was the first pearl jam album I didn't like and its all been downhill from there. The first three were all brilliant (vitalogy is seriously underrated) but I couldn't call any of them perfect albums either - 10 comes the closest

no fair play, i know that most don't like it. Its probably more that there is no cd out there that ive listened to more and i just love it as an album. the cd tells a story, i love one of the last tracks where ed says "he is alive, but feels nothing, so is he"?

Brilliant
