who cares what you think cob. You’re coming across like an absolute flog on this forum.

Is a forum not a place, meeting, or medium in which ideas and views on particular issues can be exchanged?

It would be absolutely ridiculous to judge anyone’s personal character based on their sporting opinions. It would be equally ridiculous to allow oneself to be influenced by the opinion of the community cuck.

glory holes GIF

cashies looks like a jersey sponsor and ibm looks like major sponsor
Since when has the front of jersey sponsor not been the major sponsor?

I have no understanding of the pop culture references in this above post. Although I haven’t engaged in any debate on this site yet. It seems some people on here are very confrontational without reason. Poor old cuck.

Back on topic. If $2m a year is correct. That’s great value for a major sponsor. I’m underwhelmed with the brand and disappointed it’s a brand connected to a board member.

Well done Peter. Would have been easy for him to walk away after way he was treat by the East coast but as usual he’s stuck with helping the game in the West. Will be nice to have a nod to the Reds on the jersey as well!
Pete’s commitment to the game has never been in question. Months back- I was not a fan of Cash Converters being a jersey sponsor. I thought shorts or sleeve similar to Gage or Budget Direct seemed more appropriate.

But around 3 weeks ago I had a good in-depth discussion with 2 board members and they brought up Cash Converters being jersey sponsor and how much they were willing to pay-up & invest. I also saw how seamless the London Broncos jersey with CC sponsorship on it looks - which visually isn’t an eye sore at all. Finally the NRL themselves signed off and approved this sponsorship deal. I have no qualms over it.

Now as for your point of how Peter was treated by the “east coast”. I have said for months that perhaps you need to ask yourself how did he approach these initial meetings. I think once you discover that truth, you’ll quickly realise that his bid consortium were about as unprofessional during that time as they could possibly be. Regardless, I’ve held the belief that Pete was badly swayed and influenced by parties he brought in to help the bid. I too am happy he stuck around - at least this time he is surrounded by competent people.

That aside and with more sponsors and commercial/corporate partners soon to be revealed - the club is heading in the right direction. It needs to be said - everything that’s happened and is happening has complete ARLC/NRL oversight.

A lot of people were scratching their head when he was announced on the inaugural board. Now that it’s essentially confirmed speculation that his director seat was as a Sponsor Director it makes sense.
@Red&BlackBear was it you who said PVL wanted nothing to do with him?
The foul diatribe towards him on here was disgusting, and in east coast media. The bloke has largely single handedly funded rugby leagues survival in wa for 25 years. Glad he’s on the board and good that he’s got the club a great sponsorship deal for next three years. Well done Peter.

Cash Converters is a publicly listed multinational company with revenues of just under $400m a year and a historical connection to Perth.

It's a great deal for a new club and sets the baseline high for future deals.

Whilst there's no doubt Pete would have used his influence to get the deal over the line, especially at $2m per year for 3 years, it is no different than what Politis did with BYD, and what many other clubs have done in the past (Penn Health at Manly, Brydens at Tigers, Jayco at Storm)

2 million pa is a massive deal

Is that the highest in the nrl

Fair play to Cummins he never stopped supporting a Perth nrl team even after Pvl punted him into the sun

If he ends up owing it down the track he probably deserves it now

But I’m sure @perthred will be livid his club are taking money off these parasites

Yes, PVL wanted nothing to do with him during the consortium bid phase.

That doesn’t mean he wasn’t willing to work with him as part of the NRL owned franchise though. It’s all about what’s best to achieve the end goal.

Peter himself is harmless, it’s those who were advising him that need to look in the mirror. They deserved everything they got at the time.

His consortium took a mammoth shit on what the NRL requested and expected and then some people here have the nerve to say it was the consortium who were hard done by. Really? Is that why the WA Government were just as quick to distance themselves from the local consortium?

For the sake of ensuring there’s nothing but positivity moving forward - the consortium is dead. Pete’s on the board and it came with a significant investment that benefits the Bears commercially. That is what’s important.

Hopefully we're getting closer to a jersey and logo reveal
I do think the logo should have been released months ago, it’s ridiculous that they are doing all these announcements with no branding alongside. Have the NRL not released funds for a marketing budget yet or something? There’s no reason it should have taken this long and I think it would have happened much sooner if they didn’t have to run everything past the nrl first, as has been reported.

Every club has to run it through the NRL first

Politis owns BYD?
Eagers Automotive, who Politis is a part owner of, has the sales rights for BYD cars in A/NZ. As the primary seller in this market Eagers works with BYD to help determine how they spend their advertising & marketing dollars.

Whilst BYD would have signed off on the deal, there is little doubt that Politis played a part.

Same for the Bears Cash Converters deal, Cummins most likely proposed it, but as a publicly listed company, the board would have had the powers to veto it.
