$2mill front of shirt (one of biggest in nrl)
$1mill sleeve Sponsor (one of biggest in nrl)
short sponsor (and beer partner) locked in
apparel partner locked in
radio partner locked in

great start to our corporate revenue base. So much for that bloke in the West telling us we’d find it hard to get partners with Anthony in charge!

32 weeks isnt rushing something! I was involved in brand change of our company when we decided not to nationalise and it took us four weeks lol. as soon as ceo and board were engaged they should have been on it. as long as we dont end up with a ns replica copy then it’ll be worth the wait I suppose.
The board were appointed 28th June and didn’t really start to make head on anything until at least a month or so after - with other items taking precedence first.

So what on earth are you talking about? Your concept of how things work in this space is warped and blatantly clueless.

Was sadly always going to be the case as soon as we learnt vlad was going to control the club. Governance isnt high on his agenda.
How do you determine this bullshit view of yours whilst the game is breaking all sorts of records? If governance wasn’t high then please enlighten us how the game continues to achieve such high metrics under PVLs leadership?

The master of all wrong views and opinions has returned. The one who doesnt know what he is talking about!

He was wrong at every turn about the perth bears and now continues to be wrong still. like some bloke who keeps putting his hand into boiling water, burning himself, then putting it back in. he just doesnt get it.

How do you know they weren't on it? There have been two wordmarks now, I'd say that's a sign they're at least making attempts at it. Mind you, I wouldn't have shifted from one to the other without having a finalised emblem to roll out.

Positional priorities: Meninga reveals Perth recruitment focus

Inaugural Perth Bears coach Mal Meninga has provided insight into how he is trying to build out the squad’s roster for their expected arrival in 2027.

The pieces are slowly coming together for the NRL’s 18th side, which has now signed six players to its roster.
While they still have plenty more signings to make across the next couple of months, Meninga has maintained on making sure they go after the right players for the side.
“We’ve got a big job in front of us,” the Rugby League Immortal said on SEN WA Breakfast.
“We need 30 recruits and six development players, so we need 36 players together and their families. Everyone forgets about the families.
“Our process didn’t start until November 1, so the process is to get in front of the player managers and the players, making sure they are people of interest.
“We’re hand-picking all our players; we’re not going (with) a scattergun approach. We’re just making sure they are people with the right attitude and going over to Perth for the right reasons.”
Looking at positions of focus, the former Queensland and Australian coach highlighted the need to ensure the spine is as good as possible to allow for success.
He then reiterated the importance of ensuring that this side can have sustainable successful, in a similar ilk to the competition powerhouses in the Brisbane Broncos and the Melbourne Storm.
“There’s a tendency, obviously, with what we call our spine. So, that’s a nine (hooker), a seven (halfback), six (five-eighth) and one (fullback), we just got to make sure we’ve got quality people and players in those positions,” Meninga explained.
“They are really crucial to a Rugby League team. We believe that a prop (No. 8) like Liam Henry is really important for the team, and then we look at one, maybe two outside backs, plus one back rower, a sort of 13 who's an 80-minute player.
“So, we sort of target players positionally initially, and that’s what we are doing at the moment, and I think we are doing really, really well in that space.
“That’s how you build a club.
"You build it around core players with really good experience, you hold them together over long periods of time, and you keep on building teams around them to give that sustainability with your roster over a long period of time. That’s the theory in general.
“It’s been a big focus of ours, and with that, hopefully we get success (in) year one, but it’s not even about year one.
"It’s about 20 years time that the Perth Bears are a team like the Melbourne Storm or the Brisbane Broncos, they are continually top of the ladder, and they are trying to win a grand final every year.”

whats ya points? the shit private consortium had logos too. both were trash.
putting together an admin base, attaining facilities, locking in sponsors etc i thinks took priority over a logo and from wat @Red&BlackBear said there has been logos. some rejected, some approved and nows approved are with NRL.

There have been multiple revisions of the logo. The first couple were outright rejected by the entire board.

The couple revisions that were approved by the board now sit with the ARLC and it is up to their discretion. The NRL wants the intent of the logo to be very much a modernised version of the traditional Bears head. So it is fine-tuning the details to ensure it meets the intent.

Realistically, the logo could be released any time in the next few weeks pending the final ARLC tick of approval.

perthwrongs ding dong just likes to make things up. he has no idea. never seens a man in life (real life or online) be so wrong so often on so many things like he is. its almost like a social experiment. how wrong can one human be on so many topics and how does the mind of a flop like that work?

I could go on about dictators, sht corporate governance when chairman acts like the ceo, nrl conflict of interest in running a club and not letting the board make the decisions etc but as it’s a perth bears thread I’ll leave my well known thoughts about vlad to the appropriate threads.

same dictator that brought back perth into the nrl? strange way of thanking him cob.
kinda seems like you're ungrateful.
kinda seems like you dont understands that the club stands best chance to work with nrl running the ship in its initial years.
kinda seems like nrl is making sure things run as smoothly as possible by having oversight. you were told year ago by redblackbear that this is what will happen. why you no pay attention? is it your ego?

K

Yeah, this is a perfect example of "just because you can doesn't mean you should"
yeah but lots of peoples have no patience. they want things rushed and now instead of measured decision making and if anything takes longer then more than a few weeks it becomes problematic in their minds. all while forgetting all the other important stuff happening in the background
