Why wouldn’t 9 want to keep Origin if they are also presumably keeping the other FTA rights ?

The first game for the Perth Bears has to be at Optus.

Optus x 2- opening game against Dragons. Historical Western Reds first opponent. The second against Manly.
Sydney game against Souths at SFS. Both sides got kicked out. In their first year, the Bears will lock fans out from NSO. The remaining nine games at HBF Park.

The jersey and logo needs to have some gold. The logo should have gold on the left hand side of the Bear shaped as the WA state. Red and Black on the right to represent Norths. And there has to be a bit of gold somewhere on the jersey.

I am one of the few rare Bears fans who wouldn’t mind some yellow/gold on the logo/jersey.
We would be all over it for the Indigenous jersey with our colours.
Time will tell.

I’m waiting for the newspaper to start going after PVL’s 200 thousand Bears “members” on the East Coast about to get over to Perth for the Bears games …. Seems like such low hanging fruit …maybe they have to dole all these things out slowly over the next eighteen months …

Yeh I fully expect around end of 2027 to see a media announcement with Force, Glory and Bears involved announcing a HBF upgrade.

Nrl on its own gets very good ratings for nine without origin anyway

Stokes being so concerned about an nrl team in Perth shows he’s worried about afl tv ratings and he has his eye on rugby league expansion

Plus I like how stokes protects his tv rights and not support a rival. Channel nine would never

Adding to this do Bears plan on re-entering Jersey Flegg next year? @Red&BlackBear @Centy Coast

Aim has to be some Perth based junior sides eventually as well as North Sydney continuing their operations. If the Reds/Pirates could do Ron Massey & SG Ball last decade then you’d think they could manage Matts & Ball or Connell & Meninga teams with an NRL team coming. They’d probably get a better pick of WA juniors with an NRL side at the top of the pyramid now.
