it aint just Tunks who hates the Dragons on that show - Hughes and Robertson also stick the boot in. As noted by some...the show is pathetic. Used to listen to it on occasion when I had a commute but luckily no longer...probably second to the footy show in terms of gross glorification of stupidity.

Hughes is predisposed against Gallop and News and perhaps Godzy is right after all

Soward's key weakness is that he does dissappear from games at times, especially some of the big games. Soward would be the first to admit that himself, but the last season he has improved a lot in this area.
is saying that he still looked to be the only NSW back to trouble QLD with his footwork and passing game..
He will be a better player for the experience.

Aside from the onslaught that resulted in QLD going up 24 nil I think Soward did not disappear at all in game 3. He sparked NSW before the half and then tried to stand up and carry the team back in the second half. Unfortunately Gidley and a couple of others had different idea's and often left Soward and a set back line standing there scratching their nuts waiting for the ball. Had anyone but Gidley being playing dummy half we would have seen a lot more Soward.

As for Pearce he was hopeless and his performance had nothing to do with Soward.

I just need to clarify something. the 2SM team and everyone except StMerge fans are wrong and you guys are correct? TBH NSW were shit for 60% of game 3 and it wasnt just Soward (at times, not all the time), Pearce was crap 100% of it and would be crap if he had a queensland jersey on. Forget Pearce and give Soward a partner that can play FFS. Oh by the way, his godship lord Gal, is awesome!

The guy is a walking brain fart, I listen to that show as well. Graeme (boooo hoooo) Hughes is the most biased, self promoting sport commentor on Radio, Gavin (I am with these guys and have no opinion of my own) Robinson need I say more, and Peter (how many brain farts can I get away with, without someone smelling how stupid I am) Tunks. They are there to just field calls, I wouldnt worry.

The only one with a brain is the toff. I say this because I have had personal dealings with him myself, and know that he is a good bloke and generally has a brain.

Despite the NRL having their problems, even they are smart enough to know not to give that mob a crack at calling games.

My favourite Peter Tunks moment was at Kogarah's Jubilee Oval in '88 or '89.

I was sat up on the hill amoungst a pretty small crowd. Anyway, dirty Tezza Lamb potted a penalty at the English St. end real early, then it was a Red V onslaught.

Walford scored about 4 tries and toe-poked goals from everywhere.....the Tunks bit is coming....we belted them 30 odd to 2. Tunks was assisted from the field in the open 10 minutes after being set apon by 3 Dragon forwards. I know one was Brad Mackay. When they got up off him he was a fat, hairy, unconscious mess, splattered on the half way line. I thought he may have been dead, not once, but dead twice. So he got carted off never to be seen again.

God bless my old man, who recorded the game. So I watched it the next day. Late in the 2nd half they showed footage of Tunks on the bench and he was still utterly out of it, eyes rolling and bloodshot, mouthguard still in and a stupid expression on his face.

I've forgotten what the topic of this thread was about, but I have provided a good story of a Dog getting owned. I hope you enjoyed it.
