Would you say AFL fans have less complaints about the product on the field than RL fans? Like, is AFL seen as more the same game as it was in the 80s than RL is? Or has it also become too structured? I reckon almost every RL fan would agree they would like less structure and a lot more "heads-up" football in RL - like the 80s and 90s.

I think this is true of a lot of fans of almost every sport. Everyone wants the game back the way it was, with less meddling with the rules.

There were probably people saying limited tackle was stupid and they should go back to unlimited tackle rule.

The one yard ruck rule? Pah, humbug who wanted that?

Hell, we should go back to 15 a side and allow marks when fielding a kick on the full like back in the good old days of 1908 in Australian rugby league :p

Ipswich is the new Campbelltown. I keep hearing about being this future city and so I’ll look it up on google maps and it’s a couple of streets on a river.
yeah it's just Brisbane's version of Campbelltown or Penrith. Old mining town, some amazing old houses but AFL is no threat there.

Tens of thousands of more units planned plus new retail and commercial centres

Whether the demographic is rugby league different question
