What year is it now ?

what profits have been made since then which add to net assets
the 2023 financial report isnt out yet. Do you have a crystal ball?
Are you hypothesising the NRl's net asset base has gone up $107million in a year?

So you're predicting the NRLs asset base for 2024? In Jan 2024? And in your prediction you dont believe AFL will have added anything to their asset base since 2022? Hmmm.
Well now we have income producing assets like afl if will allow for fairer revenue comparisons

all we need next is Telstra to upgrade the wifi and include it in our fv dea

I thought we were talking net asset bases? Now you're onto revenue streams? Whilst its great we have revenue creating assets at long last their media deal uplift of around $125-150mill cash in 2025 is going to push the current revenue gap miles further away from us.

Book value means very little. The land Marvel sits on (90,000sqm in the CBD) is worth we’ll over $1B.

Not sure why the Sydney guys on here feel the need to compare everything the NRL does to the AFL. They are obsessed. Perhaps it is just a Sydney v Melbourne thing.

You were happy to compare revenues off the two sports when the nrl had no income from property assets

now it’s a fairer comparison

even better if Telstra contra gets added

We still arent in the same ball park, and that ball park gets alot bigger in 2025. We'll need a lot more hotels to close that gap by any decent amount!

2022 the revenue gap was $271mill.

Afl has 20 years to build up their asset Position

where has all the money gone
Expanding to 18 clubs, paying clubs more, investing in grassroots, buying a billion $ stadium, spending on facilities for clubs, players, a full womens comp, and so it goes on. The more you earn the more you can spend.

For example in last 10 years AFL has spent $170mill on upgrading facilities and grounds for afl clubs and grassroots. NRL has spent $0. And so it goes on.....

Are you suggesting the NRL has made $50m+ profit for the period 1 Nov 23 to now?
In all honesty I dont think hes thought it through lol. Hes claiming that in 2024 NRL and AFL will have the same net asset base. How he knows this and why he thinks the NRL has made up a $100mill gap since 2022 only he can tell you.

Sounds like it’s been wasted

our money is being invested in assets which return on avg 12 percent pa

stadiums are notorious for making poor returns

The person you are replying too is the biggest for it

Not with all the new property taxes imposed by the state govt to pay for the billions in covid debt

with a basketcase of an economy property investors are fleeing in droves

Depends if you consider investing in grassroots, facilities, assets, clubs and players a waste?

thats good. so avg $2.4mill per hotel so far?

are they? link? They've bought what some are valuing as $1billion worth of land for $200mill with the added bonus of a stadium for their use and profit thrown in. Then got the Govt to fund its improvements to the tune of $225mill which will generate even more money. Sounds like a half decent deal to me. If only NRL could do same with Commbank or Allianz!

Sell homebush for 300 million to arlc

knock down and rebuild new 80k stadia with enabling development of 1k units plus shopping centre

Only 4 rectangular venues worth investing in Aus.

-Suncorp (Lang)
-Alliance (SFS)
-Commbank (Parra)
-AAMI

The rest will loose you money.
