I know we all have digs at the AFL and the lack of suppport that GWS has in Sydney but wouldn't surprise me if it outdraws the Sharks vs Cows game next weekend or the NRL game only draws low 20k's (caveat, unknown number of freebies across the 2 games).

Even the Cronulla CEO wants to play at Caltex Field, Endeavour (or whatever they call it these days) and get 14k as what's the use of moving to Allianz to get 15k. If that's what he thinks his club can only draw in a semi then why bother expanding Caltex for normal season games, just leave it as is.

Wrong. The son David is putting the deal together through Skydance but its the old man Larry Ellison who will hold a 77.5% controlling interest. PVL is definitely going to the right dude.
Wether or not he even gets the meeting & what becomes of that we will have to wait & see.

yeah theres some nuances there, but David is the CEO, remains to be seen whether Larry will take any direct control - his 77% is held by his family Pinnacle media.. The takeover deal isnt finalised yet, not expected to be until early next year, so nothing likely to happen in the short rerm.

We do know that when the deal proceeds David will become chairman and chief executive of the new Paramount. Jeff Shell, former chief executive of NBCUniversal, will be its new president. He also works for Redbird who put up 1/4 of the funding for this deal. Where that leaves Larrys position as more than just a financial backer is still questionable.

Im not nominating anyone, Im pointing out the responsible persons reported under the deal being done, and the reporting of all indicates that Larrys position is not known at this time. Unless you have something else to throw in that counters anything ive actually linked on this.

Larrys media company has provided equity and a controlling interest in the company. Larrys personal involvement in the merged entity has not been made public.

You can - and no doubt will - continue to deride me on this.
