Yeah there's something like that going on with the USA AFL search trends, because AFL out ranks Major League Soccer too which is incredibly unlikely. I would say you are on the money there with it being a mistaken search rather than a deliberate.

Further evidence to this is that both 'Rugby League' and 'Australian Rules Football' show negligible results.

It's hilarious watching you trying to explain google and trends when your complete misunderstanding of them saw you thinking that the Warriors are bigger in NZ than the All Blacks, and Inter Miami and Wrexham were in the 10 most popular teams in NZ.

Google trends is as accurate as those Roy Morgan research articles

Tv ratings are the only stat you can’t manipulate or offer freebies

Those stats are telling

I'm open to your interpretation of this data. Please educate me

interesting how these AFL expansion clubs have so many members, but crowds that are less than half the number and pitiful TV audience.

When a club like GWS claims it has 30k members but only 9k turn up to games regularly, something is not mathing.
AFL clubs all have a double to triple members to attendee ratio.

They are done by people with ph d in maths lol
I’d love for one of those people with a phd to explain to me how when you have a sample size of one box per 5000 people a rating of 12k in a population of 2.5million is in any way valid or reliable lol

Can be done with ratings too depending on where you are at in the reach/average argument, how matches are programmed and a range of other things that make them not as black and white as people would like to think.
I flicked past channel 7 the other night, on the way to channel 9. I am now officially an AFL reach viewer, the metric is a joke
