When they don’t break it down it’s cause they are hiding something

when they dont break it down its because its not the annual report, its the financial result media release, which almost never has a segment breakdown. So we should know in a couple of weeks. All we know at present is that revenue rose $164m in 2025.

Oddly doesn't break it down like they used to

gee I wonder why
Oh yeah, it would expose their crap about what their media rights deal is actually worth
Claimed 647 mill pa, its actually only 550 mill

An unknown part of that is contra. Mchlachlan said the cash component was north of 4 billion - more than 571m per year, inclusive of Telstra.

which they claimed was 174 million more then the previous years
strange

that math doesn't work 🤣

The average PA figure is over the 7 years, not equal across every year. Rights start low and work their way up - its not a flat amount every year. Also unknown whether other segments have dropped in value.

* f**k it guess we're back posting now. Was a good month

The afl announcement was $4bill cash over 7 years ie an of $571 mill cash a year.

last deal was around $440mill cash a year by 2024, giving a difference of around $131mill cash. That’d be in line with their $164mill cash revenue increase

they indicated

half of the increase in revenue was the new media rights deal dopey .... 82 mill.

They didnt say any such thing.

"The AFL’s revenue increased by $164 million largely driven by the contracted increase in broadcast and media revenues in line with the first year of the new broadcast agreement. There was also growth in commercial returns from Marvel Stadium events, commercial partnerships and consumer related revenue."

Who said anything about rigging the competition to help the Storm succeed? They manage to succeed despite the NRL never doing them any favours.

You'd be another fan of the Storm seemingly being completely comfortable asking the NRL to directly assist them, at the expense of another club.

And they've definitely never asked for NRL assistance before, never ever ever.

Yeah publicly they've asked for help.
If you don't think every NRL club are constantly asking the NRL for favours, you've got rock in ya head.
You think Manly aren't asking for salary cap dispensation every time Tom pulls a hammy?

Some instances are reported on, mostly based on how high profile the case is- Lomax case- high profile.

All clubs are asking for help, the NRL want to help All clubs, the clubs are what make the NRL.
The more successful clubs are, the more successful the NRL is.

Lomax playing is good for the NRL, the success of the NRL is good for clubs.
Lomax sitting out the season help nobody.

Lomax would be good kicking the Dragons or West Tigers into the Grand final. Not another Melbourne Storm Grand final appearance. Boring

You missed the bit about asking for NRL help, at the direct expense of another club.

I couldn't care less if Lomax never laces a boot in the NRL again.

There is always another star waiting to fill his place.
