And the funny thing in all of this is his hypocrisy. It is HIM who was responsible for the pathetic dominant tackle rule so his beloved Goosters could stop the Sharks and win the comp.

Phil Gould is running a close second to Dimitri for the title of "Rugby League's Most Worthless Opinion." I think I can speak on behalf of the vast majority of Cronulla supporters when I say this article didn't bother me in the slightest, because it's contents and tone were so predictable.

Maybe we might've given a stuff if somebody important wrote it...

Enough. We see Phil Gould as a joke, an over inflated ego with an obvious axe to grind with Chris Anderson. The only reason he writes these petty childish articles is to try and bring Opes down, because he can't handle the fact that Anderson is the more successful coach. Unfortunately, the end result is that he just ends up highlighting the bitter twisted old fool that he is.

It would be sad really, if it wasn't so damn hilarious!!

Oh I agree that Gus has a ego the size of Sydney harbour and I'm no fan of his... but what he said about the Sharks was correct. Any truth in the report that Ando came into the sheds laughing after the 74-4 flogging?

From what I have heard, yes he did. And rightly so.

The Eels game was a 46 minute match, followed by a 34 minute circus. Ando's approach was the correct one in my opinion - forget about the match and move on. We had several players in our side that had played less than ten first grade games, there's no sense in destroying their confidence by blaming them for a result which was out of their control.

Gould's clock stopped years ago but even a stopped clock is right twice a day.

I know a Sharks fan who agreed with pretty much everything that the article said (if that matters...)

What a load of wank.

So things don't go your way (it takes two to tango) & you just pack up shop, deliberately standing metres offside, the sloppy high shots in defence, the field goal attempts when down by 50 points??

What a joke of a team & what a joke of a coach. Anderson is so far up his own arse, it isn't funny. The bloke thinks he's above the game & that's quite sad. The "back me or sack me", the talk of "winning culture" and constantly blaming the last coach for his failures this season are laughable.

I can't believe this bloke is still Australian coach. He doesn't even shave.

A Dragins supporter saying our coach is a joke. Oh, the irony...

Have a look at the Official Sharks forum, I'm sure you'll find a lot more than two people on there who agree that Gould's opinion is irrelevant.
