After a successful series in Africa HAH makes the Test squad. His path back to the top continues.

He could play in some of the ODIs if we get a couple of injuries. The same goes for tests.

He can't play spin so he will fail when he gets another opportunity. He flashes at the ball too much at times as well when he should leave against fast bowlers. He is prone to LBWs as well.

It will most likely be the same old failure story for Hughes. He won't be able to consistently score runs.

He's had too many chances.

He is going to the UAE before the rest of the team to have specialist 1 on 1 coaching with Murali. The selectors are putting serious resources into developing him as the man that replaces Rogers.

Hasn't Doolan spent the last few months in India preparing for this series? Hughes can't play spin, Murali who was a god awful batsman will not be ablt to fix this flaw.

Hayden learned to play spin by doing what Doolan is doing, went to India and just played a million balls of spin from a variety of spin bowlers, eventually you would be able to read spin a lot better. No other way really. Indians are good players of spin cause of the same reason.

If you can learn to pick Murali's deliveries you can pick any spinner.

Not true

Murali used to bowl with a scrambled seam so not even the bowler knew which way the ball will go.

Chucker is 57 years old. Unless he's got a minefield for a pitch he'd spin it about 0.0005 cm. And he only had 2 deliveries the one that went away (where the arm bent 15 degrees ) and the one where it turned in (arm bent only 14.5 degrees ). If HAH can't pick that he needs rooting and shooting.

Junior Waugh used to say you just had to watch his elbow, it bent so much more, like about 45 degrees when he bowled his doozra

His words

He has 3 basic deliveries, I saw his so called master class

Phil Hughes made his international T20 debut with a solid late innings cameo in a convincing win. He has now played international cricket at all 3 levels and the selctors have shown he is a key part of our future.
