Journalists investigate and report. Most people like Kent and Rothfield are simply opinionists. They are little better than gossip mag writers. They are lazy, do little research, do little investigation and just blurt out their personal opinions like we give a sht what they think. Because they do not bother to get the facts they are often proven wrong and rather than justify their comments they move on to their next opinion piece. Take them for what they offer, no more than the bloke at the bar.

There aren't too many players or officials that will talk to Kent so all he can really do is give his opinion.

Last Sunday?s grand final set all sorts of records and actually beat the NRL?s City-Country game for most TV viewers.

It attracted the biggest pay TV audience ever for the A-League (334,000 average on Fox Sports) and was the most watched game of club football in Australian soccer history (692,000 average with a peak of 1 million, including SBS).

The rugby league audience on Channel Nine was 660,000 for City-Country.

The grand final was also the most watched worldwide (110 nations taking live or delayed coverage with a reach of 250 million) and the highest grossing gate ever ($2.1 million). The PR value was priceless.

I have to laugh at that. Wait till those Origin ratings come out and we'll see Rothfield creaming himself over one of the highest rated tv programs in the year.

And that so-called reach of 250 million outside of Australia just flicked the GF on for 5 seconds before realising how boring and crap the standard of soccer was - to the extent where fans were jumping up and down with their back towards the game - and then changed the channel:lol:

Ive always found this claim funny.

It doesnt mention that it was on at 4am-ish in most of these places or that none of these houses turned it on, they find it impressive that these TV signals can reach 250million people...
