The best i idea i have heard is NSW and SA play for the Phil Hughes trophy, and i liked El D's about CA putting some money in to build a stand in the local ground at Macksville in his honour.
I think a lot of ideas raised have merit including this one, its great we are thinking how to keep the Phil Hughes name around forever
But for me, given the huge international outpouring of grief, id look to honour him through an international way. A day in a test match seems very warranted. Its the pinnacle of cricket. The baggy green is something Phil fought for with hard work and persistence and never gave up on it. Not to honour him in a test match somehow, considering his next game was a test match doesn't seem right (to me)
Every test nation would be able to play in a Phil Hughes day test match, how good would that be? It will hopefully inspire other youngsters like Phil to aspire to play test cricket, and the legacy is to never give up fighting for the baggy green, wether you have played 0 tests or 26 like Hughes. We have seen how the momentum jane McGrath day has done for the McGrath charity and also test cricket for the SCG test. A Phil Hughes day would be just as important and successful
Im sure something will be done eventually to honour him, and whatever it is ill get 100% behind it and support it till my dying days
