Thats good to hear then. I would have put anything on 9 hours of viewing a solid static logo would stuff it up.
Tell me, if you view this logo 9 hours on saturday every week for say 26 weeks, will that hurt? Like make that area of the screen worse then the rest?
haha im all paranoid now like im gonna jinx myself or someone else reading this!
No the screen all looks identical, and when I first got it, I was as paranoind as everyone about it, used to pause my xbox games (lots of static stuff on them) every 20 minutes and swap to tv to wash to screen with different pixels. Used to change channels every so often to change logos, never left DVDs on the menu screen for too long.
But after the new feeling wore off, I just use it like anything else. I even accidentally left it on overnight once with just black on the screen, no black burnt in anywhere.
So ultimately from experience (everyone has a plasma these days) I have never ever seen anything wear in the corner from logos. My LCD I used to have in the bedroom used to have slight retention when I turned it off for a few seconds but thats as close as it got.
Im not an expert and speak only from experience but I wouldnt worry about it as it certainly is not a common/definate thing, the only thing you can do to be sure is not enjoy the big expensive TV you bought so you dont possibly ruin it, a bit like leaving your new car in the garage so you dont damage it.
