Speed, strength, great defence in recent years. An intelligent and lion-hearted player.

There's actually a fairly long thread on the Newcastle forum which offers plenty of opinions about him.

Nathan Stains won't be at the Clydesdales next season. He has hinted at a stint in the uni comp however.

Hey xxxx cap, gullsfans etc who will replace seage next year? He was awsome in the prelim against reddy! Last year the A-Grade Mark Ogden showed some form any chance of him stepping up? Brendan currie has come out of his one year retirement to take up a posistion at Reddy! Him and Solly add a fair bit. great to hear JP Cherry got picked up. He's not as old as he looks and has played some good footy over the past few years. Norths have also picked up ex-reds contracted palyer Curtis Franks and Wests 1st division player John Peterson. I reckon we're a chance this year hey stormboy!!!

XXXX could probably supply the name but one of the better backs from the colts side would sometimes front up for the A grade, slotting in no problem, even with 80 minutes in the lower grade already under his belt.

Four people who could possibly take the job: Mark Ogden, Jim Ahmat who played a bit last season, new recruit Simon Phillips or Quinton Marshall the A grade winger who also was named at fullback but played on the wing in first grade.

My feeling using mainly last year's players would be Ahmat at fullback with Quinn and Bourke in the centres. They have plenty of wingers - Lafaele, Marks, Jepsen and now Phillips as well as youngsters Marshall and Hoggart.

The mighty pairing of Lambert and McPherson remains in the halves.

John Bruce is the other option in the centres but he may well be suited to taking Paul Carige's spot at lock. Coupled with Keough's retirement, Wynnum will need to build up in the backrow department.

Marshall and Jepsen are gone. Ogden has got plenty to offer at fullback. He has put on some size and looks ready to fill Seage's boots. Im pretty sure that Kel Egan has plans for Quinn at lock and John Bruce as a utility. Paul Carige has trained a few times but is unsure if he will play. Good to see that the majority of the home games are on a sunday this year, Kougari is packed on sunday's.

XXXX Cap, Wynnum are a lot lighter on in the backs than you may realise. Jepson is having a year off, Lafaele is still considering whether to go back or not and Quinton Marshall was cut and sent back home after A grades major semi win vs Redcliffe for serious disciplinary reasons, hence him not playing in the GF.

Thanks for the info, boys.

Yes, Ogden is a good prospect. I thought his first half in the Grand Final was sensational. Hopefully players like him will step up next year to provide the depth behind the established front-liners.

We seem to have Gulls followers coming out of the woodwork onto the forum. :D :D :D

I know this has been spoken about at lengths already, but does anyone know where Danny McCalister will be playing next year? He spoke to Norths during the last couple of weeks and im keen to know if we got him or not! We need a few more big men after losing alot of fringe first graders from last year. Stormboy or anyone do you know the where abouts of John Flint? He was the toughest SOB i have ever seen. Except for "The Muss" of course!

As mentioned on the QRL site, Issac Kauffman has left the Clydesdales and will be with Easts for 2004. This makes it his fourth Q Cup club in as many years.

Getting Fisher's record together - have it soon.

Does anyone know anything more regarding Duggan, Coorey or Coburn ?

This morning's Wynnum Herald indicated Paul Carige was likely to play on.
