really there want much difference in our attack between last week and this

i think last week the opposition defence wAs better than the bunnies

i really have a problem with hooking off de gois who i think is one of the best hookers in the game right now just so we can give seu seu some token minutes

pretty much what you have

gallen - 215m / 39 tackles - that guy must live on red bull and sleep for 2 days after a match

ross - 150m / 34 tackles and played 50 minutes this week. The extra time would have been a result from nuts hitting the blood bin about 8 mins out from half time, but he seemed to handle it

seymour / noddy - received pretty much equal ball

fav moment - bird running down the right side late in the second half and sandow was left in his wake - bird looked back and gave him a huge laugh inclusive of tongue out, but thats his trademark

1. Brett Kearney 6 Not getting in the right places. it will come.
2. Misi Taulapapa 6 getting important early metres & competes every time. 1 bad mistake.
3. Ben Pomeroy 8 when the defense looked too easy, thought he'd take the posts on too. he won.
4. David Simmons 7 nice intercept. Still gets bent backwards too easily.
5. Luke Covell 7 The rock of confidence doesnt disappoint. gor run down by Sandow, but sandow is lightning.
6. Brett Seymour 7 great passing game with plenty of zippy face balls. Great spontaneous short kicking game & opened up Souths at will.
7. Brett Kimmorley 4 Probably should have been a 2 for the serious defects in his game but he actually took the line on down the short side & came up trumps a couple of times. I don't know if that was Souths f*cking up or kimmorley playing it well.
8. Ben Ross 7 did not lose 1 metre all night & stung in defense.
9. Isaac De Gois 7 The fluidity of the line changes when Seu Seu comes on for the better.
Degois & kimmorley out there together do 2 things. incredibly slow passing & lots of missed tackles. This combination has to be fixed.
10. Luke Douglas 7 really started thrwoing himself into it last night.
11. Paul Gallen 6 Poor game from Gal. But as good teams do, when 1 falls down, another steps up.
12. Fraser Anderson 7 Coaches MOM
15. Grant Millington He is going great guns. Great poach this fella.
13. Greg Bird 6 very quiet.
14. Danny Nutley 6 doing his job. just.
16. Adam Peek 7 mr dependable
17. Terrence Seu 6 I wonder if Degois was out through injury if Seu Seu would play an entire game? he needs too. Its taken all year for degois to play himself into form.

1. Brett Kearney - was found out of place a couple of times, but support play in the second half was an improvement on recent weeks.
2. Misi Taulapapa - should be dropped for next week but will probably remain in the side for the clash against his former club, those sorts of games tend to be true character revealing.
3. Ben Pomeroy - strong game
4. David Simmons - made a few people eat their words, good to see
5. Luke Covell - solid and safe
6. Brett Seymour - is starting to struggle to get a combination working well with noddy
7. Brett Kimmorley - is he the reason why we cant score tries? i really dont know, it has to be something
8. Ben Ross - good solid all round the park
9. Isaac De Gois - dangerous everytime he ran the ball
10. Luke Douglas - nice effort once again douggy, origin bound next year im sure
11. Paul Gallen - try some glue
12. Fraser Anderson - couldnt ask any more of him, has handled everything that has come his way, should be in the backs again shortly
15. Grant Millington - continuing to impress
13. Greg Bird - did he even play? sorry birdy, i'll give you some more time to find your mojo, we all know what your capable of and probably expect too much from you comming back from injury
14. Danny Nutley - has been a great pick up for us this year and proved once again he still has plenty to offer
16. Adam Peek - a workaholic front rower and another good game for him
17. Terrence Seu - dont know what it is newcastle see in you, but youre no de gois

Team Rating - 6.5/10 need to improve

1. Brett Kearney - 5: continues to get smashed when taking the ball back.
2. Misi Taulapapa - 4: love to see some consistency in his game
3. Ben Pomeroy - 6: much improved game this week.
4. David Simmons - 7: obviously got a rocket from Ricky.
5. Luke Covell - 6: ran the ball a lot stronger this week.
6. Brett Seymour - 7: tackling machine.
7. Brett Kimmorley - 6: better this week except for his kicking which was just as bad as last week. I wish he'd let Buster kick the ball on the 6th.
8. Ben Ross - 7: ran the ball much stronger this week.
9. Isaac De Gois - 8: great game.
10. Luke Douglas - 7: didn't get as much time on the field this week, maybe his knee is not holding up as well as expected.
11. Paul Gallen - 7: his hands let him down badly in the 1st half.
12. Fraser Anderson - 8: had an excellent game in defence, as usual but his attack was much improved this week. He is our most consistent forward this season.
15. Grant Millington - 6: looked great when he was on the field.
13. Greg Bird - 6: working his way into match fitness and seems to be comfortable with his fixed knee.
14. Danny Nutley - 6: great game this week Nuts. worked hard in defence and his attacking runs were like old.
16. Adam Peek - 6: hope he stays around next season. fantastic off the bench.
17. Terrence Seu - 5: went allright.

6.5?
f**k off! What on earth do you want? We lapped them and are coming equal first.

We blew them off the park even with one of the worst penalty counts AGAINST us in history. It was a great team performance and although we didnt do a Canberra or a Melbourne we did more than enough to get the money. Again. Like we do nearly every week.

imo the team was a 7/10

lack of discipline at times, poor ball handling after incurring pressure from the errors

their defence was ordinary at times and again we dropped the ball

their attack (aside from the first 5 minutes) was atrocious - there was no attack from them for the majority of the game

im far from a wrist slitter and i hold genuine belief (and a lot of hope) we do well in the finals

our defence is our platform, but the little errors are not allowing us to sustain pressure to build and score off

and we failed to really put them away

but to rate that performance any higher would be stretching it - considering on a comparative rate, we would need a 9.5 minimum to compete in the finals against the manlys, storms, etc

It was wrong of Nod's to have left before the sun came up.

I the "hooking" of de gois was to give him a rest. He has logged some major minutes this season where as in the past he has not. He played around 50 minutes so that extra break will do him good imo.

I think Gallen gets a 10 for when simmons got in his way he turned around and said "simmo what are you doing???" as did every other sharks fan

Btr , a 6 for Gal and a 7 for Doug. So Doug went better than Gal against the bunnies? I used to be a fan.

gals stats speak for its self
he made good metres and toped the tackle count
i would have gal at a 7

Gal by his own account had a shocker. His dropped balls & penalties cost the Sharks heaps of valuable for & against points.
That said, you wouldnt have anybody else as our captain.

I agree, even though his work rate was still up there, he made a few more errors than he would have liked.
