As ive said, it is not one persons job to come up with the solutions, that's a larger conversation for us to have as a society. I believe the intention of the players not singing the anthem is to push to start that conversation!

Without being unkind, do they really present the different tribes of aboriginal, possibly.

We know they are on big money compared to the others.

It is like Twiggy Forrest representing the average factory work. Not likely.

I have no problems with solutions - from whoever (black, white or brindle) but really we can not continue to go with this shit for another 2 hundred years of living in the past.

Have the players mentioned if they are going to donate their match payments to indigenous charity/cause? If they did, it would probably help their cause a lot more than just not signing the anthem.

It;s not historical poor treatment when the people who experienced that poor treatment are still alive and suffering the effects of that treatment.

I have acknowledged the stolen generation, like I acknowledge babies being stolen from unmarried mums - my mother, god rest her soul was one.

It has happened (nobody can changed that), but there is a need to move forward.

They are the ones with a platform to be heard!

So its not historical poor treatment then as those poor people are still suffering as a result of that treatment.

Mate, I can't help but say; you achieve nothing by looking into the past (recent or longer)

These sins have been acknowledged.

It's amusing that many think a complex problem can be solved by generalisations and "solutions"

I feel it has, plenty on here are in agreement the anthem sucks

It is not the best anthem by a long way (again, mentioned 200 posts ago) compared to the ones from the US, NZ & possibly, France - can't understand a word, but it certainly gets the froggies going; but it is the only one we have, at this point in time.
