Players who played in completely different positions

Just an interesting topic i thought of; reading the other day that Dave Tyrrell (prop forward) used to play fullback for Easts Tigers in QLD Cup and then moved to wing, centre, second row and now in the front row. Although i previously knew this i thought there must be a whole bunch of others who had played in positions completely foreign to what they play in first grade.

Others i can think of at Souths (and previous Rabbitohs players);

John Sutton; debuted as an nrl centre
Dylan Walker; five-eighth up until first grade, played a few nrl games though
Jason Clark; halfback until under 20's
Chris McQueen; fullback until reserve grade
Issac Luke; fullback until he moved to Souths from Bulldogs SG Ball
Chris Sandow; fullback
Dave Taylor; five-eighth

So what about players from other clubs? It'd be interesting to see some of the other answers.

Luke Lewis started his NRL career as a winger, if I remember correctly.

& has played nearly every position in between.

Ah that was an obvious one i forgot.

Yeah i'm pretty sure he's played wing/centre/five-eighth/halfback/lock and second row. Maybe hooker and fullback possibly.

Oh almost forgot. The whole of the Wests Tigers squad from when Tim Sheens started until he left has played every position possible. Including some new revolutionary positions.

I think an obvious one would be Andrew Johns playing hooker for NSW......and taking on (and losing to) Jamie Goddard in a punch-up

Let's not forget that superstar (in his own mind at least), Matt adamson, who started as a fullback and ended up in the second row.

Dean Halatau has played in the back row, hooker, 5/8th and possibly in the centres.

Brad Fittler is another obvious one debuting as a centre, and later playing lock and 5/8th

That was embarrassing for all involved (not the fight, that was just embarrassing for Johns). Chris Anderson had a huge hard-on for Kimmorley, meaning the world's best player wasn't good enough for his position. I went to school with the guy, and he was not a bad bloke and a very good player, but ridiculously second rate in comparison to Joey.

That's hardly an insult, just fact.
