Players who would have been better off staying at their clubs

Chris Sandow - Souths
Brett Kimmorley - Storm (still had a pretty good career but was amazing under Chris Anderson)
Paul Green - Sharks
Willie Mason - Bulldogs
Adam Blair - Storm
Scott Prince - Tigers

Any more? Any thoughts?
Prince was outstanding in 2010, close to the form player of the whole comp.
2011 he was the worst halfback in the comp.

Here's some more I would suggest:

Issac Luke - Souths
Anthony Watmough - Manly
Dale Shearer - Manly (Shearer has said he regrets leaving Manly)
Anthony Watts - Cowboys (still would have got into trouble though but he had a promising career before he left)
Tony Williams - Manly
Mitch Rein - Dragons
Benji Marshall - Tigers

Issac Luke is doing well now for the Warriors. Instead of would have been better off staying at their clubs, Issac falls into the would be better staying off the pastries and pies and not becoming a fat oompah loompah who would blow a pupu valve after 4 tackles.

Got off the pies and onto the kale and lychee and going well now.

Fair enough. Prince still had form, but it's always been one of those what if's he had stayed paired with Benji Marshall in the halves at the Tigers. His last season with the Tigers they failed to make the top 8, so it wasn't all peaches and cream after they won the Grand Final though.

Ali Lauitiiti

No. Left a club where management were treating him like shit and forges a successful ESL career. Bad move by the Warriors but good on Ali's part.

For the Warriors I'd nominate Kevin Locke, could've been something if he'd stayed and sorted his personal issues out but went nowhere after he went to England.

It doesn't really work this way because of the salary cap, but i dont think there is any doubt Milford would be a far better player at the Raiders where they promote attacking football and encourage their players to play as they see it, than he is at the Broncos where all his natural flair and creativity is being coached out of him

Him linking up with guys like Beej, Raps, Croker, Papalii, Wighton and Whitehead would be ideal for a player of his style

Sione Faumuina. Some of the footy he was producing in NRL 2k03 was incredulous. He was like Ali Lauitiiti but with a kicking game, pace and a good workrate. Then he goes on the schooner an hour diet, and fades into controversy and obscurity at North Queensland. Poor Sione, he has written a good tell all book on it.

Prince was still a good player at the Titans, in 2010 I thought he was the best halfback in the game. If he stays at the tigers I find it hard to imagine we don't challenge for a few more comps though. 2006 isn't a good formline as we had the worst injury toll I've ever seen in the clubs history. When we had something that resembled our best team that year we beat the teams that came 1st, 2nd & 3rd.

Interestingly just recently Locke has quit the Sunshine Coast Falcons and has moved back to New Zealand. It's been predicted that's likely the end of his football career, but Locke insists he still want's to play professional football again in the near future.

Just another chapter in his sad post-Warriors saga. He's still quite young though.

He was already self destructing at the Warriors though, so not sure stating would've helped.
