Sione Faumuina. Some of the footy he was producing in NRL 2k03 was incredulous. He was like Ali Lauitiiti but with a kicking game, pace and a good workrate. Then he goes on the schooner an hour diet, and fades into controversy and obscurity at North Queensland. Poor Sione, he has written a good tell all book on it.

A book wow

Thanks for pointing that out

I'll have to get it

He was rocks and diamonds at the cowboys but when he was on it was good times

I used to crack up at Matty Johns blowing his load over him "Timana Tahu....The best outside back in the game.....the perfect blend of blah blah blah and blah blah."
To b e fair he was pretty good at one stage. Alot of it could also be put down to Matt Gidley, would have set up more than half his knights tries

Not even half as much as he loved Darren Albert. Came back from England to the Sharks and he was saying he will "play for NSW & Kangaroos this year, mark my words".

Actually he said the same thing about Paul Franze, Matt Hilder and Hassan Saleh.

From my mob....Manly.

Watmough was a disaster at the Eels.

Foran should have stayed with us.

Vautin pissed off the Roosters, the same as Fulton in their twilight years. Both should have stayed on at the Sea Eagles retiring on a positive note with the fans.

Yeah but it wasn't Paul Vautin choice to leave Manly, unlike the other names mentioned. I guess I didn't spell it out in the thread, but its more to players who have left looking for greener pastures and found it not to be. Vautin has made it no secret he was shattered when Manly told him they didn't need him no more.

It doesn't really work this way because of the salary cap, but i dont think there is any doubt Milford would be a far better player at the Raiders where they promote attacking football and encourage their players to play as they see it, than he is at the Broncos where all his natural flair and creativity is being coached out of him

Him linking up with guys like Beej, Raps, Croker, Papalii, Wighton and Whitehead would be ideal for a player of his style

Last few times i've watched Broncos play they've put up some blistering attacking footy tbh.
End to end stuff, early kicks, lots of ball movement.

Certainly against the Roosters they were better than anything Sticky's mob have served up this year.

Bob Lidner

Yes and No. When Bob Linder joined the Eels he was considered a disappointment for the fans. But he came originally from the Brisbane and English competitions. I'm not sure you could blame Linder for going to the strongest competition to play despite it not panning out with Parramatta.

Hodges to the Roosters?
Hodges won a gf and played in two more. Then went back and won another. Good choices to me.

3 seasons including off-field dramas, getting dropped to reserve grade, doing his ACL (and missing the 2003 GF), getting decked by a former team mate, his disastrous SoO debut, approaching Bennett in mid 2004 to return to the Broncos...

I get the feeling he didn't really enjoy his time in Sydney and wished he remained at Brisbane for his entire career.
